The prologue: 2,4km of panflat roads in Sibiu. Not much to say: no single mistake allowed if you want to take this opening stage!

Will any GC-contender be able to slip into yellow already today? Or will one of the few TT-specialists take this one?

While Boaro was beaten by Bontenackels (Puma) in the meantime (finishing less than a second faster), today's top-favorte i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/tas.png Stannard is now under pressure to deliver.

He does, taking the lead by 1 second on Bontenackels and Boaro!

The gaps today most probably won't be much of an issue for those, who lost a few seconds. But Intxausti did very well to score a slightly surprising win here: to we all know this yellow shirt may give a moral boost. On the other hand, the pressure on his team to control the race.

Anyway, most managers will love the fact, that this tour will continue with the mountain stage now. This is, where the big guns have to deliver!
