Welcome to Erfurt for the Criterium Hainleite. The cobblers hope for a selective descent, the puncheurs for a selective ascent and the sprinters for no selection at all. So lots of different scenarios today.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0004.jpg

Todays break:
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/mlj.png Fahnert
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/nor.png Stankovic
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/gnu.png Golas

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0008.jpg

Behind the cobbler teams are doing the work for their leaders, who are supposed to shine later. But for now it`s an opportunity for the break to increase their gap.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0012.jpg

The Kyffhäuser climb is always a good chance for more attacks and so it`s not surprising to see some riders trying to jump to the breakaway:
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/tas.png Avery
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/azt.png Duque
Both join the break about 20km later.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0026.jpg

Also joining the group is the Live Nation duo
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/lin.png Lovassy
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/lin.png Kulppi
Both have attacked and are now in the breakaway on the first passing of the finish line.
37km to go and a gap of 2'17.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0028.jpg

Lierse wants to win this and so all 6 helpers are sent to the front to chase them down.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0032.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/boi.png Hamilton is the first favourite to attack. 2nd lap and 1'27 left. He combines good cobbler and puncheur skills and is a solid rider for these races.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0039.jpg

Next rider trying his luck is i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/rse.png Bugge. This time a puncheur while Hamilton has successfully joined the group in front!

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0045.jpg

All the other puncheurs are right behind setting a high pace now. This includes Geschke, Duggan, Vink, Hansen or Vitoria.

So most of the breaks is soon to be caught including recently joined Bugge/Hamilton.

Surprisingly a duo of Golas/Fahnert is still a bit ahead.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0051.jpg

Over the last lap the duo kept their gap pretty consistent at under one minute but is still going strong.
Behind the favourites looked a bit confused about the situation as cobblers struggle over the hills with the top puncheurs pushing and the top puncheurs did not really get away from them.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0054.jpg

One last attempt to catch the duo as we have some more attacks:
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/rse.png De Haes
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/boi.png Hamilton
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/rse.png Bugge
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/flg.png Roulston
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/cdb.png Østergaard
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/vtb.png Schär
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/evo.png Dupont
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ttt.png Schoonbroodt
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/mlj.png Jelloul
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/evo.png Saramotins

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0066.jpg

Last 3km and the gap is getting smaller.
In especially as i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ttt.png Schoonbroodt has attacked again showing a strong performance here.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0070.jpg

Golas in front with Fahnert sitting behind him for the final sprint.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0072.jpg

Behind the group has still a small gap with Schoonbroodt in between.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0074.jpg

Fahnert can`t follow his former companion and won`t win. That said this duo seems to survive the chasers behind to decide the race.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0075.jpg

And indeed it`s Golas being able to celebrate the win ahead of Fahnert with a nice 2nd for one of todays home teams.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0076.jpg

Only a bit later Schoonbroodt comes in 3rd. It`s a strong race by him as most others did expect Duggan as team leader.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Hainleite/mg2014_hainleite_PCM0078.jpg

Bugge comes in 4th also with a strong performance. Behind him Dupont, De Haes, Jelloul, Saramotins, Schär and Roulston to complete the top 10.

Hamilton and Ostergaard just behind them which leaves Lierse as top team out of the top ranks!
