Pan flat stage to finish this race. So one more chance for the sprinters with Rasmussen and Haedo being the top favourites over Polivoda or Clavero.
GC wise yesterdays tiem trial should have stopped all questions. But then again Rodrigues and Iglinski are within 7s for the race win.

6 riders in the early morning breakaway.

The remaining sprinter teams will try to deliver another sprint finish. Carlsberg (Rasmussen), Privatbank (Polivoda), Nutresa (L.S. Haedo), Azteca (JJ Haedo) are the four teams chasing behind.

15km to go and the breakaway has a 50s gap being just ahead.

Crash in the peloton. Always the worst scenario on the last stage of a longer stage race.
Luckily all top riders are able to avoid it. Mentionable riders are:
Kasa, Saramotins, Esquivel, R. Fernandez,
And apparently also Sinelobov was caught behind as best placed being 19th at the moment.

Parts of the breakaway are still ahead with Adamou attacking going solo. But the sprinter teams form their trains and are most likely going to catch them.

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/azt.png Haedo

This is going to become interesting now. The best sprinter JJ Haedo in a rather bad position while his brother gets his own train as also Rasmussen, who wants his 2nd stage win here.
But more interesting the placement of Iglinski, who is really going for the bonus seconds. Already a 3rd would be enough for him to claim the race win on the last meter.
And also Herklotz is here, who can still climb one position being only 5s behind J. Rodriguez. That said, the later is the better sprinter and just one position in front of him today.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_12_PCM0560.jpg

With 2km to go Sabatini flies past Adamou as last breakaway rider. Behind him Rasmussen and Delio Fernandez already having a good gap to the rest.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_12_PCM0565.jpg

Rasmussen with one of his best races ever I think. With pure strength he goes past his leadout and immediately opens a gap behind to Fernandez, who can`t follow.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_12_PCM0567.jpg

Nobody seems to be able to stop the Dane.
Polivoda goes into the 2nd here passing the struggling Fernandez and Sabatini.
Also Haedo on the left being fast, while teh remaining riders including the GC riders are a bit behind.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_12_PCM0569.jpg

What a gap for him. He more or less can already celebrate his 2nd stage win.
Hmm. Or better not. Polivoda hides himself nicely behind the team car. He might even have a hand at the car coming closer to Rasmussen now.

And look at the close fight behind. You might spot the green jersey of Iglinski, who is still in the fight for the 3rd, which would mean the race lead. Also Rodriguez and Herklotz still fight for those bonus seconds alongside the other sprinters.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_12_PCM0571.jpg

But it`s enough for the Dane. 2nd stage win in the Middle East. It really was worth it to fight in the mountains.
Polivoda with another 2nd but he seems to like this race a lot.

The team car avoided a good shot for the 3rd position. But in the end it`s a GC rider!
Not Iglinski though, so Vitor Rodrigues brings the GC win home.
Not Fernandez or Rodriguez neither.
It`s indeed young German super talent Herklotz, who climbs one spot to finish this race as 8th in the GC.
What a wonderful start to his career palmares. He looks already the superstar in the 2014 Puma squad and with 2 stage wins, the U25 and a top10 in the GC it was a really good performance for the young squad.

Iglinski btw. came in right behind him in 4th. So it was very close.
