After the hilly stages are behind us, the real mountains wait for the riders.Today it starts with two climbs of which the later is the mountain top finish on a very steep climb. Good chance for the favourites to gain time today.

4 breakaway riders:
Vosekalns
Wu
Declerq
Ospina

Those four also take the first two sprints:

We haven`t reached the real climb but as it`s uphill most of the time until now, one rider decides to make a move.
It`s Azteca`s veteran Ardila who still is a pretty good climber.

Behind him some more riders try to follow like
Masuda
Dabrowski
Bakhin

Meanwhile Siam is doing the pace for Vitor Rodrigues as also Bonsucro for Nicacio.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0092.jpg

Halfway up the climb, Ardila joins the former break, while the trio behind still has 1min to them. That said, they are also a bit over 1min in front of the 107 rider peloton.

On top a rather surprising attack. It`s one of the GC top favourites Vitor Rodrigues and immediately the race leader Kulhavy follows him.
Seeing him to make another move on a descent shows his strength here.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0101.jpg

Most other GC teams keep the pace high behind. No matter if Bonsucro, Maloja, Nordeus, Euskaltel or Sauber. All are working to bring them back.

24s are left after the steeper part of the descent. Kulhavy and Rodrigeus have reached the trio Bakhin, Masuda and Dambrowski, while the breakaway/Ardila group is another 46s ahead.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0105.jpg

The final climb starts very steep and Rodrigues/Kulhavy are caught.
Also Declerq is dropped in front as Ardila is going a high pace.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0107.jpg

Former race leader Martinez is the next to attack and again Kulhavy immediately answers this move.
Behind Nutresa (Haedo) and Siam (Galedo) are working for their leaders and try to close the gap.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0112.jpg

But V. Rodrigues quickly realizes that he mustn`t allow them a bigger gap and attacks, while passing Declerq.

Other favourites also attack or accelerate at the front:
Iglinski
Schwab
Sorensen
Ochoa Quintero
J. Rodrigues

Parra Bustamante
D.Fernandez
Vrecer
Alizadeh

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0123.jpg

The Iglinski/Rodrigues group is slowly closing the gap to the first group, where Kulhavy/Martinez have joined Ardila, while the former breakaway is splitting.
Qutie a gap already to the next Ochoa Quintero, Schwab etc., while the remaining favourites are still in a 63 rider group.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0126.jpg

Kulhavy with yet another huge performance after yesterdays coup. He drops Martinez and Ardila and goes solo once again. This time on an uphill section though.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0128.jpg

Ardila is caught by the top favourites Iglinski/Rodrigues and they are just 30s behind Kulhavy.
The group around the next strongest riders Ochoa Quintero is already a bit behind but with Parra Bustamante a Euskaltel rider was able to join, while Alizadeh is solo behind for Sauber.
Then the remaining favourite group is down to 19 including young talent Herklotz around all other GC riders.

Riders being in a later group are:
Castano
Zoidl
So the ONCE leader should be clear by now.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0131.jpg

Martinez is caught and struggles just like Ardila to follow Iglinski who is going very fast now. Rodrigues still behind him.
Kulhavy a bit in front of them with 2km left.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0134.jpg

Flamme Rouge and Kulhavy`s gap is getting smaller and smaller. Iglinski with another acceleration. Rodrigues still without problems to follow him while they still can`t really get rid of Martinez and Ardila. Also J. Rodrigues was able to close the gap a bit and so Azteca with two riders in a good position now.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0136.jpg

Last corner and still in the lead. Can he repeat yesterdays win?
Rodrigues goes past Iglinski and seems to be on the better side.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0139.jpg

And indeed he takes the win just ahead of Iglinski and Kulhavy. So both GC top favourites make a huge step today even though Kulhavy might be todays big winner as he finished within the same time and extending the gap to the next riders a lot. He keeps his yellow jersey for at least another day.

22s later Martinez amd Rodrigues limit their loss and also have the 4th and 5th in the GC now. Solid ride as also Ardila, who comes in 20s later as 6th. Azteca with a nice day.

Also Wu with a nice day. After being the last rider of the morning break he comes in on a strong 7th today. Still ahead of the next group.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Middle%20East/mg2014_middleeast_4_PCM0140.jpg

Parra Bustamante as best Euskaltel rider already 1'41 behind the winner. Together with him Sorensen, Ochoa Quintero and Schwab.
While last one couldn`t go with Iglinski in front, it surely wasn`t the best day for Ochoa Quintero, who was expected to be stronger.

15s behind the next group around Nicacio, Herklotz, Raisin etc.
