Hi guys. I hope one of you english speaking guys will have a brief look at the following text and correct my mistakes. There are surely some, but I hope it is fairly easy to understand, non-the-less...
I need it rather quick, so I hope one of you brits will help out!
Abstract:
The assignment concludes a stream of thoughts concerning solar heating systems, such as what is it? How does it work, along with slightly more thorough debates such as financial and environmental effects. On the base question as to what a solar heating system is, we have discovered that the system consists in two main components: The panel(s), which is usually situated on the roof of the building, and a water tank from which the heated water will flow into the lesser described components (water pipes, radiators etc.).
During the process we have listed several pros and cons of the solar heating system, through which we have described situations such as personal valuation of esthetics, environmental gains, economical and political values. In terms of environmental considering we have looked into the atmospheres impact on discharge of Co2, and how/why a solar heating system can contribute to lowering the overall level of Co2 derived from our living areas.
We have also looked into the financial part of the installation process, how the government have contributed to tax deductions, and given additional funding/discounts to purchases of environmental conservation installations, such as solar heating systems. From the early solar heating system-days manufacturing prices have been brought down considerably, effecting in better prices for the customers, hence making solar heating system investment more viable, and attractive.
We have also looked into the basic physics of the solar heating systems, to have an overall knowledge as to how the system applies the solar energy into usable heat and warm water. Also we have discovered that the angle of the solar panels is important in order to maximize the energy intake from the sun. Depending on the geographical position and season of the year the angles varies with great significance.
Not British, but living and studying in Ireland... Since it says Abstract, I assumed you wanted it in a more college friendly formatting:

We have also looked at the financial aspects of the installation process, such as government grants and tax deductions, as well as providing additional funding and discounts for purchases of environmental conservation installations, such as solar heating systems. It's pretty grammatically sound. As is to be expected, there are a few small mistakes, but nothing major. If it's important for it to be perfect English, then I can take some time to change it for you if you like
Just two quick things, it's spelt aesthetics, and when referring to Carbon Dioxide use CO2 not Co2.

The assignment concludes a stream of thoughts concerning solar heating systems, such as what they are and how they work, along with slightly more thorough debates such as financial and environmental effects. On the fundamental question as to what a solar heating system is, we have discovered that the system consists of two main components: The panel(s), which is/are usually situated on the roof of the building, and a water tank from which the heated water will flow into the lesser described components (water pipes, radiators etc.).

1. "base question" doesn't seem like a common phrase, I think you mean "fundamental"
2. "esthetics", I've only heard of "aesthetics" but I'm not 100 % sure on this..
3. Sentence starting with "In terms...", no need to use the "and" conjunction to separate only two items.
4. Lots of tense shifting in Paragraph 3, but seeing as this is a more technical paper I guess it's okay.
5. I think Co2 ought to be written as CO2, so as not to be confused with some weird form of cobalt oxide.
6. Last sentence is a dependent clause, but I haven't edited it for you. Try to edit it yourself into an independent one, I don't want to change your meaning.

Ehm, I was in a bit of a haste this morning and must have overlooked the esthetics bit, but I am pretty sure I read it as ethics...
However Esthetics would also be an accepted spelling for aesthetics as some very minor research showed!
@Code: I thought about using fundamental (as you did in your first correction) but thought it wasn't fitting well enough into the context. Maybe Basic would be a better fit?
