Because we find ourselves answering many of the same questions, we've decided to open an FAQ thread.
I installed the Expansion Pack, but now some teams show pink boxes instead of the minishirt. What have I done wrong? You installed the Expansion Pack in the wrong directory. If you installed the game through Steam, you should manually change the installation directory to <C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2014>. If you changed the installation directory manually when you installed PCM2014, you should install the Expansion Pack in the same directory. Besides that, if you aren't English-speaking and therefore your PCM folder name isn't Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2014, you might find 2 similar folders in the same path, usually C:\Program Files\Cyanide. In this case, you'll only have to move the files you installed into season to the folder where you've installed pcm, so the one in your language, and overwrite.
All new stages show Plouay-Plouay as route and crash when I try to load them. What have I done wrong? First of all, you haven't done anything wrong. It seems that our installer doesn't automatically detect your Documents folder, so when you modified the location of your Documents folder, the Expansion Pack installer won't install the stages and database files in the right directory.
Go to <C:\Users\[username]\Documents> (even if this isn't your default Documents folder) and copy the folder <Pro Cycling Manager 2014>. Now go to your default Documents folder and paste the folder in there. Overwrite the files if necessary.
I can't see certain types of equipment (frames and wheels). What have I done wrong? Again, you didn't do anything wrong. We messed up the filenames and therefore the game can't find the equipment. This has been fixed in V1.2.
PCM crashes when I try to scroll through the calendar in Career mode. What have I done wrong? Again, a bug from our side. This has also been solved in V1.2.
I created a custom team, but when I play a race, my bikes aren't re-colored like those from the other teams. This is a problem of the game itself. When the team is created the color code is automatically set to 000000 (which is the code for black), instead of using the color code of the sponsor (which resembles one of the colors of the jersey).
You can edit this manually by opening the database of your career with an editor. Go to the DYN_sponsor table and search for your sponsor. Copy the value at gene_sz_color. Now go to DYN_team and search for your team. Paste the value at the very last column (again gene_sz_color).Edited by matt17br on 09-11-2014 08:51
