I have just recently stumbled into a problem in my PCM 2012 career with my team which I am pretty sure has been self-inflicted and although it isn't a major issue I am hoping someone could help me fix it.
I am currently in my first career season of this particular save and have got to the TDF - the only problem is, despite scheduling 9 riders 10 appear in the race when I boot it up and only 8 appear for the Radioshack team.
I believe the problem revolves around the cyclist himself (Giacomo Nizzolo) the 10th man. When I started my career I didn't initially purchase him in my selection - mainly because I didn't have the money upfront. So I went into Lachi's editor and just changed the team he was allocated to, it all seemed very simple.
However, I have realised in his 2013 record (current season) unlike the rest of my team members where my team name appears, his former team Radioshack appears there. So I then went back into the editor and found his contract code was in-line with the other Radioshack riders and so I edited it so it was at the end of my numbers. This did not change his record in-game.
I have tried several attempts, although all seemingly futile to get him out of my TDF selection and allow Radioshack to have a 9th rider. I presume the game still thinks he's at Radioshack and so they are picking him although I have not encountered this error until the TDF.
Initially he had under the season tab in my squad list (Currently: Tour de France) along with my actual selected 9 riders, so again went into the database editor and changed under the race settings to FREE and changed the INRACE option to the standard out of race one. I also went to Radioshack and put a random rider to the settings of their other 8 in the editor as they had only selected 8 which confirmed my suspicions that they were selecting Nizzolo. Still the problem persists.
The easiest solution appears just to go with it and retire Nizzolo at the beginning of stage one but if it is solvable another way that would be preferable. I haven't tried a detailed simulation of the stage only running it in 3D but I have doubts over whether that would change anything. Any help would be very much appreciated - sorry if my explanation is unclear, it is quite hard to explain without diagrams etc.

Sorry to bump the topic.
Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions - or should I just force Nizzolo to abandon at the start of the first stage and just carry on with 9 riders as normal, just with Radioshack a man down? |

When editing riders into other teams, you should adjust the team ID in DYN_cyclist and DYN_contract_cyclist. |

Thank you Lachi.
Although I had done the first of those two things I hadn't noticed the second. I will alter that in the database and then the problem should be solved.
Edit: Unfortunately having edited the team in DYN_contract_cyclist from Radioshack to my team, I still have Nizzolo turning up as my 10th man and on his profile he still has the Radioshack team in his in-game profile despite being on my roster in the game and in the editor. Is the fact that his fkIDcontract number is aligned with Radioshack of any interest or have I missed something. Again thanks for any assistance.

Unfortunately I was unable to fix the previous problem I encountered as I think the changes made to the database relating to contracts can only be made before the season. I made the changes and tried it with both my save at the TdF and then again to an earlier save to see if a gap between the TdF stage and the update would work and it didn't. I wasn't too fussed as I could just retire Nizzolo and carry on with 9 men and leave Radioshack with 8.
However, in doing so I have encountered another problem. Although I don't think it is related to the initial problem I have just put it in this thread for convenience. When I go to run the TdF stage 1 although it loads up fine (although it is a little slower than other races) when the commiseur goes to drop the flag the 3d race freezes.
I went back and tried an earlier save and simmed up to TdF to check to see if the database changes I made affected the game but the 3d race still froze. However, when I went to try the 3d setup at another race (Skoda Tour de Luxembourg) it ran fine.
Initially I thought it may be a problem with my PC, although I have never had this issue up until this point. I reduced all the display settings to a lower setting but the problem persisted. I also noted that the CPU appeared to be maxed out when I checked the task manager just after PCM froze. I am not sure if this point is relevant or connected?
I am currently using the PCMDaily 13 database for PCM 12.

Have you checked the DYN_team_races table? You should find a list of teams that will participate in every race and also the riders taking part. Check if Nizzolo is on both your team and RadioShack?
I don't know if that is the problem, but it is worth checking.

On the day when the TdF starts but before you start the race, open the table DYN_team_race and make sure that the ID of Nizzolo is not listed with the old team (in the last column).
To go back in time, copy a weeklysave from before the TdF start to the save game folder and edit this file.
I recommend against continuing and fixing the problems as you find them. At least I cannot give you instructions on your actual problem. So you should really go back in time and fix it before it all started. |

Nizzolo is schedule to ride for Radioshack according to the database. To solve the issue should I replace his rider ID with another Radioshack riders ID? |

Just make sure to edit it before you start the TdF. |

I am delighted to say I removed Nizzolo's ID from the Radioshack list and replaced it with another rider so they have their full quota of 9 riders and it worked and Nizzolo is no longer in my TdF squad without me selecting him and Radioshack now have 9 riders. I started the 3D race and the game no longer freezes either so it appears the problem has been solved.
Nizzolo still has Radioshack on his rider profile in game despite me changing both of the relevant columns but do I need to try and sort that before continuing or do you think it might correct itself at the end of the season?
Also, a big thanks to you both for sorting out the main issue! |

Are you talking about the "team history", this should not create any problems but could be fixed in one of the tables having palmares in its name, if I remember correctly.
If not, please make a screenshot and attach it. |

Yes that is what I meant, sorry I didn't explain it well. Where it has this seasons performances it is labelled under Radioshack and not my team name. I have looked in the editor and under DYN_Palmares it has all the race results so I presume I find Nizzolo's palmares and then edit all those achievement to be under my team name and not Radioshacks.
Edit: yes that has worked, his history has been changed to my team now - thanks again!
