We're proud to present this year's PCM.daily Expansion Pack. In this thread you can read about the new (and the older) features of this database project for PCM2014.
As you all know, a few members have joined the DB team of PCM.daily for this project, but also for future projects. Zecha, bwiggins, Sykkel_Freak, Kentaurus and haasje33 accompanied Jesleyh, Alakagom, Lluuiiggii, Maddrengen, Admirschleck and Jacky Durand to work on this huge project.
As always we release this pack to make our favorite pro cycling game more realistic. We've got more teams than ever, all with real jerseys, accessories and a lot of national champion jerseys. Also we've got over 3100 riders, all with realistic stats, using our unique stat matrix.
As we do every year, we will add 2 different databases you can play with. One with the national champions from last year (2013) and one with the national champions from this year (2014). This year, we've added an additional feature to this tradition. We've created a career database and a current database, in which we have divided the rosters too. In the career database, we included the rosters from January 2014 and in the current database, we've updated these rosters to August 2014.
While we recommend starting careers only with the career database, it is possible to play a career with the current database too.
Because the equipment system became more realistic in PCM2014, allowing you to sign your own equipment sponsor, we decided not to add team-specific equipment in our Expansion Pack. There will be over 100 real bikes available, which will all have the auto-color function, which means they will get the team's main color included.
To top things off, we will release a V2.0 which will contain a large amount of improvements. For the first time, we will set all contracts of WorldTour riders to expire in the right year. Also, we are planning on implementing all of Jacky Durand's Sponsorkits, adding new variants and much more...
