best time for training stage in career mode?

Guys whats the best period in the career mode to go on a trainingstage. For example mountains or sprinting or stage recconainse. And how many weeks before a important race should i do that??

I think the training effect lasts for 40 days. This would answer both your questions. But you might want to try to verify it using the forum search.

Recon doesn't matter. They will remember the recon and have a fairly good daily form on the stages they went to recon.

If you attend a training camp for 10 days, the effects of the training will last for 42 days. So i suppose you just have to attend the camp inside that time-span.

So it doesn't matter if I do recon for Tour in January or in June, the effect will be same, right?
