Adding a City

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to add houses to a city in the stage editor.
I use the "add city" tool and make the area where I want the city, but I can't figure out how to place houses in the small squares that are everywhere.

If anyone could help a noob out that would wonderful.

When selecting the area, go to the box to the right. Press "rebuild" button, and wait for a while, then it'll appear Smile
