Actually though, the last two games have been bugged after final patch. Is it not just what we're used to with PCM?
I wish they'd stop spending time developing the graphics and would pay more attention to gameplay. The 3D engine was easily as good as it needs to be last year. It's a sports management game, and doesn't need continual graphical updates. Football manager didn't get where it is with fancy graphics.
Do they focus on the console game and sideline the PC edition? |

Is this even news? I thought it was pretty well known that they only fix the bugs they feel like fixing and leave a bunch in so they can say they've "fixed" things for the next release.

No, it's not Cyanide's mistake. It's mistake of us, stupid cycling geeks, that keeps on buying this shitty game year after year.

I love how Cyanide mastered the synergy of "it's good enough to have faith that the next one will be really enjoyable with a few changes" and "it's bad enough to definitely buy the next one because I can't possibly play this edition for any longer than a year".

I can't help but think they dropped the ball with this one. With the huge exposure the TdF got in Britain, Cyanide could've really capitalised and earned a whole new fan base. Instead, the Steam forum was just full of people raging about it crashing all the time.
But we'll keep playing it all the same! |

Any idea of what bugs they can't do?

That0s why i don't buy it since the buggy PCM 2007 and i'm glad i made that decision. But that's not only a Cyanide problem, even bigger companies with bigger games release buggy games, thinking that launching patches all weeks is the solution. Well i don't think so. Though, people complain and complain and complain but in the end they're buying the games as always.
I still prefer the time of PS One, Mega Drive, Master System and whatever, the game could have bugs, but at least the games were playable, and sometimes it was funny like that. I'm totally against patches.

Just a guess but they will fix the bugs in Armada and disregard most of the bugs in career mode.

I am pretty sure all pcm's are buggy. I just hate the fact they stop doing patches after what 4 months. They could at least work on the game for say 8 months. Would be appreciated otherwise they need to get there asses off steam. |

This.

I am not even angry, as i am used to it. Shame that it is also ruining the man-game experience though...PCM13 is bugged shit and we can only switch to new bugged shit.

I agree with any comment re football manager. Surely an insane amount can be derived from that game and transferred by Cyanide. Pride perhaps...

you guys are aware that FM is also seen as "buggy" by parts of their core community ? That they had major bugs in the game for a loooong time that went unfixed often until a version or 2 later ? (just 2 examples being: scoring ridiculously easy on set pieces with certain settings, adding of leagues causing the game to overflow with players causing massive slow downs and crashes)
And the AI in FM is to this day not doing a good job at all at developing their talented youngsters because of a flaw in the games core (reputation as too big a factor, making for a very gradual, predictable decision making by AI managers and coaches)
still a kick ass game, but claiming it is bug-free is insane and i would argue it is not all that much better than PCM in that regard.
