Hi all 
I'm going to try to run a story using my own 1980's db and graphics (although I have to give credit to various jersey designers as I am using about 15 jerseys I have downloaded here or there). Everything else is my own.. I will be presenting the races from a journalistic/neutral point of view although I am managing Système U. I intend to do montly editions of the magazing for lesser races and a daily newspaper report for the most important races. This season will serve as a test for my db so it may well crash and burn after a month lol. The idea of the db is not to be a specific year although the focus is on early 80s. The riders are therefore mostly at their best, even though for instance, Roche and Delgado belong more to the 2nd half of the decade whereas Hinault, Raas or Maertens are from the earlier part. The goal is to provide an 80's experience.. I hope you enjoy it...

how did I not see this until now. Zoetemelk, Raas, Kuiper, Knetemann 
ahh the goal old pre-SSJ2Luigi days. the days when the Dutch were actually good at cycling and could win like 3 stages each tour (Raleigh in a TTT was unbeatable )

Thank you I'm quite happy with how Kelly does well everywhere, which is how he was in reality. Maertens is a bit too strong in hills/mountains/TT (although he did win the Vuelta but mostly thanks to huge time bonuses for stage wins) so i've toned him down a bit for next season |
