Withdrawing a rider

hey guys I got this nooby question, I actually don't really know how to wothdraw a rider in a stage race. I have recently updated my game to 1.2.0.0 and I can't find the withdraw button anymore.
Has it vanished or removed or is this just a crash that only happend on my game.

Just put your rider on 0 effort and he won't start the next stage.
(If I understood your question correct, because I didn't know there was a withdraw button).
