Have you found that the great success you had as a young rider has led to situations where people put unrealistic expectations on you in terms of achieving high GC positions, particularly in GTs?
How is your relationship with Gilberto Simoni nowadays? What have you learned from him back then as a young rider?
Back then in 2004, it must have been like a dream. How do you see & rate those three Giro d'Italia weeks now?
You have won 3 times Giro d'Lombardia, which one was the sweetest of them? Compared to the other 4 monuments of cycling, where lies the importance and uniqueness of this race in your eyes?
I understand it you have turned to cycling rather late at age 16 (correct me if I remember wrong): How do you rate the chances for teenagers nowadays if they start late at a similiar age? Do you imagine it to be tougher to achieve results and get spotted?

Aside from the major races (grand tours, monuments, world tour races) which is the race you really enjoy riding every year and why (the fans, the route, the general race vibe/feeling)?
What would you feel is your greatest strength (on or off the bike), and what would you feel that you have to work hardest at to improve/remain competitive?
How do you cope with the pressure of a successful season going into a new season? Is it more stressful to come off of a successful season, or go into a season knowing you haven't performed to expectations the season before?
