Lost CD, can I activate via Steam?

As said in the question I can not find my PCM2013 CD. But I still have my case with the activation key.

So can I with the key download the game on steam an activate it?

It does not work with PCM2014 so I doubt it works with PCM2013.

If you have a proof of payment, then you could contact the official support, they might give you a download link.
