In the absence of a demo, I'm hoping someone might be able to answer this for me please?
If I just want to set strategies and let the race unfold, how feasible is this?
I don't want to be adjusting the dot level, attacking, etc and from the feature list this year it looks like for the first time it might be possible with the preset strategies pre-race.
The only thing that worries me from this forum is that the sprint bug referred to sounds like it would prevent my auto-set riders from having a chance of competing for sprint stage wins? |

Somewhat fixed with a workaround now. Go for it.

Is the difficulty set to normal if you go with all riders on auto?

I am not sure if you understood his question. AlexB wants to use the auto-mode, not the manual mode. As far as I know, the sprint bug only happens in manual mode, but can somebody please confirm this.
Also it would be interesting if the auto-mode works for sprints.
What else does work or does not work in auto-mode? I read that the break-away and the KOM don't work in auto-mode.
@kqyt: You can set the difficulty in the options of the game. This setting applies to all 3D races. The difficulty does not apply for the management part of the game and it also doesn't apply when simulating stages.

I've played about 30+ stages using auto-mode.
I've yet to figure out a way to get my guys in the morning break-away and my riders also seem to react too late when competing for the KOM jersey. Another thing is, when I give my sprinter a handful of teammates and tell them to compete for the stage, it's quite annoying when they just let the morning break go all the way to the finish without any effort to catch them...
If you can look past these few semi-bugs there's lots of fun to be had in auto mode. Somehow it feels more rewarding when my team wins. |

Putting attack or follow attack on your domestiques will attempt to get in the breakaway. It has to be the domestiques, not the free elements. |
