I was wondering about what the cdb files/databases relate to?
Do they simply give you the riders stats or much more?
Reason I am asking is because I would like to use the Focus Database that comes out tomorrow with a different database file (the riders stats) since I like the stats in that database or will this cause compatibility issues so that I cannot use all of the Focus DB updates?
Finally, I have tried out many different databases from here so I always merged folders and copied and replaced files.. Will this cause compatibility issues (since I replaced files) in the future when downloading different databases (I am worried that I have a mix of all kinds of databases) or does each database access "its own" files in order to run the game?
Database as database, so just cdb file, gives you updated and more or less accurate stats, correct names, correct contract/sponsor lenghts, correct potentials, some good XMLs (for regens) more realistic sponsor possibilities and things like that.
However, what comes with that database is what you give you the full enjoy. Basically, tons of new correct shirts, new stages, new races, new variants, new teams, alot of fictional jerseys for future sponsors, correct race dates, correct equipment. minishirts, logos, alot of new pictures, some track updates too and things you can find in "Features" list in PCM Focus DB thread (as you want to download their DB, right?).
So yeah, I definitely recommend downloading DBs, as it make game much, much better and actually playable, which isn't really a case with a fresh game without any add-ons.

However, my central question is still unanswered. So if I download PCM Focus Database tomorrow but I am playing with Adambs cdb file (so rider stats, correct names.. all the things you mentioned..) can I use the full potential of the PCM Focus "features list"?
or are there compatibility issues when 'Mixing' databases (one cdb file and the shirts, stages, equipment, minishirts... from someone else)
For example;
I like Adambs stats but I want to use PCM Focus features does this work? Or do I need to use the correct cdb file?

Shamefully, most likely no. The main reason for this is that every DB has most of things different (potentials, stats, jerseys, sponsors XMLs etc.), so just installing both of them won't work and you can mess it up easily, which will lead to complete reinstallation of the game. However, you can make it work, with hell alot of job that will take you big amount of time. So, I recommend just downloading PCMFocus and starting a whole new career (or whatever you already did/planned to do).
What you can do is make double install - basically 2 different PCM games on the same computer, one with Adamb's DB and one with PCMFocus DB. For more, check this thread: https://pcmdaily.c...d_id=22760
and I assume if I want to have the stats that I like I would have to edit the corresponding DB that came along with the download?
