Can I change difficulty in career mode, after a season?

You can change difficulty immediately, without waiting for next season. Just go to options and lower/upper it and it will be changed the next race/stage you play.

Additional info: The difficulty only affects the 3D races. Simulations and other features of the game (like budget) cannot be modified.
