I just got my new Computer. It is much better than my old laptop and I'm looking forward to playing PCM 14 on it.
The problem is that I want to continue my old Career on this new one, and I was wondering if there was any files I easily could copy from my old PC to my new Computer?
I'm a bit of a noob so any help would be appreciated.
Thank You |

You obviously need to have the same DB and local.cdb installed. Also, you need to copy your saves from mydocs/user/username/database/solo/nameofyourdb to your new pc, in a folder in mydocs/user/username/database/solo/nameofyourdb. Then it should show up in the game.

Does this work even if I bought it via Steam?

Because he wants to know?

Yes, but it really is hard task to do even for some more experienced guys and if you're really a noob as you said, I am afraid that sticking to your last savegame or just starting new, fresh PCM14 career are the best options.

Are you kidding me? Are you trying to troll knokk? The instructions of Selwink work with all versions of PCM 2014. It cannot be easier.

I thought he was talking about transfering save from some older PCM version to PCM14. Whatever. Should read it twice next time.
In that case, it really is easy. Install the same DB on both of PCM14 versions and do what Selwink said (transfer Local and Savegame cdbs).

Is it possible to continue a PCM 13 career on 14?

This was already discussed in General Story Discussion thread Cycleman, so I don't really know why are you asking the same question here, too. You'll get more or less the same answers, anyways.
I already wrote it in post #5. It's really hard, especially because of new equipments and many other minor things who are added. Converting even simple DB takes alot of time, while savegames are story for themselves and are even more complicated.
It also depends how "deep" you want to go, as if you want only to convert f.e. your team or just teams, that is easy to do. But I am talking about whole .cdb which includes all things saved such as sponsor contracts, rider contracts, potentials, stat limits etc.
However, if you really want to do it, try contacting Pellizoti2 or cunego59, who already did that multiple times (not exactly from PCM13 to 14, but some earlier versions) for their stories.
So, answer on your question is: Yes, it is possible.
