Chapter 1: The Cycle of Life and Death Unbroken
"Life is short and dead is inevitable", said my father a few seconds before he passed away. I truly believe he is up there watching my next step, following every change in my life, hoping i will find a way to express my dreams...
I started cycling 5 years ago, at the age of 14. I found myself a late-starter, even though some people said I wasn't. I rode my first race when I was 15, Cardigan Road Challenge in Melbourne. I was satisfied with a 34th spot... out of 36. I just enjoyed the race, went in the break and got taken back later on. After the race, a man named Marcus Bernfehrer came to me to ask if I wanted to join his amateur cycling club. In that time, I was so glad. But if I watch it back. I would've compared that team with a bag of old potatoes, rusty old buggers on a bike.
Marcus Bernfehrer was a succesfull CEO of Bernfehrer Enterprises, a German bank located in Switzerland as the parents of Marcus were from Switzerland. His bank became famous after the American Economy breakdown in 2010, all the majours scholarships put their money up in the Swiss banks as the Americans had no influence there. Switzerland was neutral. Later on, a cycling rose named BMC Racing Team . This was the chance for Marcus. He invested most of his money making him one of the biggest shareholders of the team. He had the chance to choose 2 riders, he chose Sylvan Dillier and... Surprisingly... me?! I tought he was kidding. And so my career finally started.

Chapter 2: Embarked a Journey of Remembrance
I entered the BMC Cycling Team Tech Department, Life never felt as real as the moment I saw the team, the equipment, the plan... But do material values really make you happy...? At the moment, it did.
A Week later we went on our first training camp, in Cataluña, Spain. It was wonderful. The last day, the boys and me were riding on a little steep hill with an edgy feel to it. I knew something would not be right. It seemed out of place. We came to a T-section on the road. A car drove into me side, I had the feeling that all my bones were breaking. I bashed into the railing... And slipped over. I was just able to grab the metal post holding a spanish flag. My whole life flew past me eyes. I remembered how my father passed away...
He was an amateur cyclist, just like me. He was in a regional race called the Cardilan Amateur Tournament. This was in Melbourne, Australia. He was in the descent riding 5th of the 100 contenders. The cameraman in front of him slipped a way, he couldn't avoid it. He got slammed into a tree. A 14 inch branch pentrated his stomache, making him unable to move. "I always believed I would survive", he whispered into me ears a half an hour before he passed away in the hospital of Melbourne.
"I always believed I would survive, survive... survive", I grabbed onto the railing, threw myself over it, saving my own life. I woke up a few hours later in the hospital, hearing that I did all of this with 3 broken fingers, 2 broken ribs, A twisted ankle... I believed in what my father said, I survived because of him. He is a hero... And will always be a hero.

Chapter 3: To Overcome Obstacles
After a few months of pure revalidation, I could ride my bike again, finally. A moment I've been waitin' for for a shit ton of time. Luckily, the times had come. My personal coach at BMC stood by me all the time. His name was Jonathan Juillet . He could perfectly speak 4 languages: French, English, Dutch and Australian. - I find that we have our own language in The Aussie Country -So I could understand him all the time, which surely motivated me.
