Help! Can no longer play PCM!

I've been playing PCM 12 since it came out without any problems, apart from the occasional crash or bug.
However, all of a sudden the game has started to crash every time I'm in career mode and try to advance the game. What makes this even worse is that every career this happens on it DELETES THE WHOLE CAREER! I've had a game I'd been working on for some time completely disappear, which is pretty heartbreaking!
I have not added any new databases or patches since I got the game and I can't see that anything has changed that could have caused this. The game is now completely unplayable, and it sucks!
So, please, someone, anyone, help me! Has this happened to anyone before and how was it fixed? I'm getting PCM withdrawal symptoms already... |

I don't understand your problem. Try to explain it short and simple.
But here are some general advices about crashes and saves
1. If a save is broken, it will crash the game when you try to load it. To fix it, go to the save game folder* and remove every file from it. Now start a new career and see if it works.
2. The game creates backups while you play. To recover your career, copy the latest file from the weeklysave folder to the save game folder*. Then load it in the game.
3. If the game crashes while playing stages, then go to the graphical options of the game and reduce some of them. You might also want to turn off the recording of the replay if you don't need it.
4. If the game crashes on a specific day, you can try to skip that day using this tip

None of the above I'm afraid. It crashes when advancing a day. The game simple closes and the Cyanide crash message comes up. I've tried it on multiple different careers and started brand new ones and the same thing happens every time. It works until you try to advance a day or play a stage. |

When you start a new career, does it crash as soon as you advance to the next day? Or can you advance to the first race of the year, and then it crashes? |

I have never heard about such a problem.
If the game is broken, maybe you should re-install it.
1. Uninstall the game
2. Delete everything related to the game in C:\Program files\ (or where the game was installed)
3. Delete everything related to the game in the roaming folder (type %Appdata% into the bar of the file explorer)
4. Remove everything related to the game from my documents (remove or rename, don't delete)
5. Install the game
6. Install the latest patch
7. Install a DB (in case you used one before)
8. Try again

If you want to reinstall the game without losing an activation, you only have to click on "cancel" when you are asked to de-activate your key. That way your key will remains in your registry. After the installation, do not re-activate the game. |

Did you do everything as I mentioned or did you skip something?
But if you did it exactly how I wrote and it still does not work, then it must be a problem with your computer. Maybe your hard disk is full or the game cannot access or cannot write into the my documents folder.
Can you play a stage race? Or does it crash there too, before or after you played the first stage?
