You cannot, you have to hope that the AI does something right. I wish the same thing, but there is no known way.

thanks a lot. And on the peloton: i put my rider to relay, and others rider are doing the same, my rider stay on the head of the peloton "forever". Game bug too ?

You've probably set you're rider to relay at a higher effort then what the rest of the peloton would.

How much of the work is done by other teams is determined by your effort percentage. For instance, if you put your riders on 80% relay in an early phase of a race, it's likely that your effort is much higher than the one of your opponents. However, you'll notice that you won't get to the front with 40% relay in the later parts of a stage, because the other teams are working harder then.

Same applies for the break. If the break has just established itself, usually 45-55% are enough to share the relay with the other riders. If you notice that the other riders aren't doing any work, lower your effort until they do.

Of course there are other factors like the strength of your rider or GC positions that contribute to whether or not the other riders will be working as well.
