Hello, I'm having a problem with the photos of cyclists: although these TGA files are put in the correct directory, I cannot see them in the game (I see a pink frame). I have been changing the database with CyclingDatabaseEditor but did not change any Photo ID's. What could be the problem? And most of all: what is the solution? Can someone help me? Thank you in advance!!! |

You have to go into the STA_TGA table and add each photo to that table, then link them to the riders.
I have no idea if there was a Kicker for PCM1 to do this though, i can't rememberops:

I'm not an expert on this thing, but the photos must be some pre-defined size (65x65, I think), and they must be saved in 32-bit TGA-format (as far as I remember). |

thank you for helping me out!
the size and specifications of the pictures are correct, so that can't be the problem. I managed to open the sta_tga.txt file with a converter but what should I do now?
This is what I got (I'm only showing you a part of it):
IDtga|fkIDdirectory|gene_sz_TGA|CONSTANT
...
73|4|photo_vduma.dds|
74|4|photo_stanoslibre.dds|
75|4|photo_sdejongh.dds|
76|4|photo_aengels.dds|
Do I have to change things in this file? And then import the new txt-file with the same converter? |

You need to make a completely new line for each new picture, that means a new IDtga for each one as well, make sure it hasn't already been used.
make sure the fkIDdirectory is 4
make sure the gene_sz_TGA is the same name as the photo you're adding, with the file extension (.dds)
leave the CONSTANT alone.
then import the new .txt file with a convertor.
I think that's about right, I'm pretty much guessing, since I never edited PCM1 before, but it sounds right

Okay, I'm not at my PC at home but I'll try to explain what I did:
I'm manually updating the database to a new one (with all 2008 transfers). I'm doing this with the PCM Editor and I have saved the database to 2008.cdb
Then I have used sta_TGA.exe to export the database to a sta_TGA.txt file. I have opened this textfile (not with Access or Excel) and have added a new line to this textfile (for example: 4576|4|photo_tboonen.dds| )
Then I have saved the sta_TGA.txt file again. It is in the same folder as the database 2008.cdb
When I tried to import the adapted txt-file again in the 2008.cdb this doesn't work. I'm trying with the import function in the sta_TGA.exe convertor. I enter the 2008.cdb and the path "C:/Program Files/Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager 2006/database" (I think that's the correct one, not sure because I can't check it here), then I push import but nothing happens! Is there another way to import the adapted txt file into the 2008.cdb.
I have another idea, but I'm not sure if this will work: what if I should rename my new 2008 database into the original.cdb file? Could that be a solution? |

Try to move all of your things (the sta_TGA.txt-file, the converter and the database) to the same folder, for example on the desktop, and try again. |
