As no one has volunteered so far to create a Paris-Nice thread, I decided to make one.
Nacer Bouhanni (FDJ) won impressingly the first stage taking yellow (and green and white) with Gianni Meersman (OPQ) only one second behind.
Tomorrow's stage is another flat one of 205 kms. In theory it should end in another bunch sprint, but as the stage goes in pretty much a straight line south east, there's good chance some teams will try to create echelons if the wind is good. And you never know a breakaway holds on to the finish. Will Bouhanni increase his lead or will Meersman or Degencolb play the game of bonifications well enough to snatch yellow? You'll see it tomorrow!

What exactly happened to Giant - Shimano with about 600m to go?

Only seen it once briefly but watch the last km again - Bouhani infiltrates the Shimano train, bumping Degenkolb off the wheel before saying thanks very much (that said Degenkolb had his wheel in the last 200 and made no impression).
