Stuck riders

During a climb, the favourites attack and when I try to catch them, my rider stucks on the front rider, while the CPU (favourites) riders all turn away from the front runners. It no happens always, but happens very often and very time I get my riders tired and they lose the stage and very time on GC. Someboy can help or it's a game bug ?

It's just a bad thing from the game.
You should just place your leader at the front of the peloton in the important part of the race, to avoid this happening.

Yes, I do that, but sometimes he falls behind.
