Boeing
Boeing is a multinational aerospace and defense corporation. Founded in 1916 it is one of the oldest airplane manufacturers in the world. It was founded in Seattle, Washington and in 2001 moved its headquarters to Chicago, Illinois. Boeing still have presence in Seattle and that is where the majority of the team will be based and run. Boeing is most famous as an aircraft manufacturer, and most notably the 747.
So why would it decide to move into cycling. Cycling is one of the most rapidly growing sports across the world. Since 1999, and Lance Armstrong, the sport has exploded across the USA. Now with China getting major events, the UK becoming a powerhouse and other new nations never before has cycling been so lucrative.
They entered into the fray in 2013 as lead sponsor of the team, then Boeing-Vivacom ProCycling. There commitment as remained stumping up the single largest funding injection, as well as providing invaluable help with logistics and travel. This will be of great use for our first PCT season which will require a lot of fast transfers. They have also spent the year working hard on designing their own bike frame, and we will be riding it this season!
Bulgaria
Bulgaria is the manifestation of the Bulgarian Governments support of the project. Last season it was via telecommunications company Vivacom, but that has been dropped in favor of a more direct approach. This will supply funding to the team as well as a stable European base for operations.
They want strong long lasting support of Bulgarian cycling as well as a basis for Tourism advertising. It worked out well for the 2013 season so they stepped it up for 2014 following promotion.

Long Term Goals
As part of our work with Bulgaria we have agreed to a certain number of long term goals for the team to aim for and keep. If we can do this it will be a major success and cement our place in Man-Game history!
1) Promote and Develop Bulgarian Cycling
2) Take a core of Bulgarian cyclists to the WT by 2017
3) Get a Bulgarian squad to the World Championships by 2017
Future Outlook
Thanks to the commitment from our sponsors carrying over from 2013 to 2014 we pursued a number of communications with them about their ideas for future sponsorship, and already have in place a number of options for 2015 and beyond in terms of support
1) Status Quo - Everything stays the same
2) Franchising - The team becomes a franchise name, with sponsors taking an equal share of the funding
3) Restructure - Boeing are the most borderline. Any relegation will see them drop out so we put in place clauses to give promoted companies to main sponsor

@avin - Plan B is my favorite one, and is also the most likely
Last season when Boeing first became involved with cycling they started work on making their own bikes. Whilst progress was made it did not come in time to be used for the season. So these brand new bikes have had a full years work put into them to make sure they deliver in every aspect. The experienced heads of Chicchi, Bucciero, Routely and Britton have all had big influences on the design of the bikes which are tailored to the teams specific needs.
Lets start with the Road Bike. While some manufactures are going with flowing shapes to reduce resistance Boeing have taken a more radical approach with a lot of straight edges. From the front it is a still a low profile, but they've used their decades of aerodynamic experience to direct the airflow away from the turning wheels and through the leg area. This has the effect of creating low pressure and a slight lift effect. Overall it leads to less drag and less rolling resistance. It also makes for a rigid and lightweight construction keeping the whole bike at the lowest allowable end of the spectrum.
The TT bike again loves the straight lines. No fancy channeling here though, it's all thing and all one directional. One of the thinnest front profiles around combined with deep set tubes reduces air resistance and unwanted spiral air flows. It is designed to slice through the air like a knife. This means almost zero pressure differential at the back end of the bike preventing other riders from drafting, but the pocket is still there to be exploited in the Team events.
The full cost of frames and equipment is a closely guarded secret but you certainly won't be buying one from a normal retailer. Currently there are only enough bikes to supply the teams at races with one spare, and then one each for training. Through the year the design will be improved and around June/July it can expect a release to the public.

@Roman - We'll see. I can't live off Bulgaians for ever
Let's not talk too much about the 2013 season in terms of goals. We missed them all and in most cases my quite a lot at that. Our closest race was Dobrich GP (Win Goal) where we finished 2nd and 3rd. Partly this came out of the fact we did set big big goals to net a large first season budget. We got that and put it to use in obtaining Thomas amongst a few others.
So on to 2014. Following that failure our budget will less than expected this time around. This has forced us into going big again to compensate. It's all very short term but with relegation expected we don't really worry. That and quite a few of the established PCT teams seem to fail a lot as well.
1) WIN, Tour of Bulgaria
C1 level Stage Race. It's home ground and we will be going for it with all guns blazing! Traditionally we've ridden very well on home roads so taking this, combined with one or two good climbers and it's certainly not out of reach.

2) WIN, Tour of Vancouver
HC level Stage Race. It's the closest we can get to racing in Washington being just a stones throw away. Last year we went with a wildcard and put down some aggressive riding. This time we need a big climber to step up and ride it hard.

3) WIN, Tour of the Battenkill
HC level one-day race. Was on our goals last year, but now it's cobbled! This puts it firmly in the sight of Thomas and we really think he could deliver the result. It's not beyond his capabilities and as a race on US turf it would make sponsors happy.

4) TOP5, 5 Jours de Dunkerque
HC level Stage Race. Easily our best stage race of 2013 where we did finish in the Top5. So with very little chaining in the route and in the classics set up there is no reason why we can't do it again. The one goal were the head was in charge.

5) TOP5, America Tour Standings
Regional Rankings. Ok we are expecting to relegate so this is fairly odd as a goal. But as PCT with access to HC races and we are planning to go to every American Tour race at HC and C1 level with competitive squads a surprise could happen.
