Sweden's NC is proudly presented by Swedbank and Koenigsegg - a hilly 180km race around Södertälje will decide over the new Swedish road champion.
Swedbank (8 riders) and Koenigsegg (4) will dominate this small championships - at least in terms of numbers. Kessiakoff (WWE) and Olsson (Risa) will be quite dangerous riders though.
It's a quiet start into the race, as Swedbank took control of the pace right from the start and no one trying to escape early.
Anyway, with now 145km to go, Öste-Macdonald (Koenigsegg) gives it a solo-try!
He's allowed to establish a 6-minutes-gap at it's peak, as Swedbank does it's best to take control of the pace behind.
It's a strange situation though, as a still rather low pace led to a small split in this 13-men-group - with Olsson and Kessiakoff being dropped!
33km remaining and now Swedbank's leader Lövkist makes his move, just as he realized that the gap's still at 5 minutes and his team struggling to narrow it more quickly.
5 minutes in 30km - will it possible for him?
At least it's an easier job than Kessiakoff's: he managed to catch up to the Swedbank-bunch in the meantime and now tries to jump behind Lövkvist!
22km to go and he faces a 6-minutes-gap on leading Öste-Macdonald and about 3 minutes on solo-chasing Lövkvist..
It's an interesting race now with only 4km remaining: escapee Öste still holds on to his lead, but Lövkvist is already within sight and narrowed the gap to 30" in the meantime!
Kessiakoff though won't stand a chance, being 3 minutes behind.. will Öste being caught so close to the finish?
He won't! Max Öste-Macdonald (Koenigsegg) wins the Swedish NC road race 2013 thanks to a 145km-solo effort.
Lövkvist couldn't close the gap eventually, he obviously went a few km's too late and lost too much energy in the end. Kessiakoff comes in 3rd.

The 39km flat timetrial promises a similar close race, as there's no truly outstanding rider against the clock.
Thomas Lövkvist sets a notable BT, beating Wetterhall (Koenigsegg) by just 4", but looking strong all over the place.
Will he bounce back from yesterday's close loss?
No, he won't. Next Koenigsegg-rider in the line and it's a new BT:
Viktor Renäng is 10" faster than Lövkvist for the provisional lead!
It's Swedbank's turn again - Johan Lindgren powers to yet another new BT! And this one looks promising, beating Renäng by 20"!
Koenigsegg, please: Freddy Johansson - rated as today's top favorite - has now to beat Lindgren to secure the TT-title..
First (and only) split - Johansson is 5" behind Lindgren...
Finish (the only one, too) - Johansson is 6" behind Lindgren! No luck for the favorite, but Swedbank bounces back from the road race-fail!
Timetrial title/
