A half year ago I saw a thread containing a manuel to lure a great rider on to your team offering him a contract he couldn't refuse, afterwards you were offering him another contract which were much more realistic, but I can't remember all the crucial steps and I can't find the thread again. Can someone please help with a link?

I have tried to search for it, but I guess the thread is now deleted. It described how you could lure a great rider on to your crappy team when offering him a big contract you couldn't afford. After some steps (I can't remember how many) he was ready to sign a contract with you, but then you lowered your offer. Again I can't remember if I should do that the first time or again after some steps. Point is the rider now is without a team and desperate to get a contract, then he signs the bad one you end up giving him.

While I cannot find the manual again, I will change this thread to another question:

How many times do you have to negotiate with a rider before signing a contract with him? I guess, it's the last time before signing the contract that you have to lower your offer.
