Ryder Hesjedal was the 2nd to ride and had already passed the rider infront of him before the second check. Svein Tuft started strongly, leveling Hesjedal at the first check, but could not keep up the pace and Hesjedal takes an easy victory.

A 4 lap course, with some hills that could make a difference.
Routlev, Meier, Copper, Kapush, and Erker attack to form the breakaway. Gilbert and Barry dont attack but still manage to tag along.
Slipstream's Barry refuses to work though, so Meier, Gilbert and Erker attack - but Barry effortless rides back up to them.
They keep trying to attack Barry but then Barry responds and leaves them behind! With 76km to go, has he gone too early?
Within a further 25km, his lead has rocketed to 3 minutes, its looking good for him. With 44km to go, the gap is 4 minutes, but the chasers have received reinforcements. Hedjedal and Dionne have rode up to them.
The chase is a tough ask though and Barry is not making it easy. Gilbert and Erker are dropped from the chase but with 10km to go, the gap is still 1'21, although it is falling! (Barry is by the motorbike
Theyre closing in on the Slipstream rider with 30 seconds in 3km and then another 20 seconds in the next 2km. But it is now a downhill run in to the finish, 2.7km to go for Barry and still a 23 second lead, its gonna be tight.
The chasing trio seem to be watching each other too much now and theyve left too much to do surely!
Yes they have, and Michael Barry takes a well-deserved victory!!
Dionne is 2nd, while Hesjedal edges out Meier for 3rd.
