in my opinion one of the best australian actors heath ledger was found dead in his apartment - his family have said that it is was just a terrible accident however it appears whether he did it on purpose or not he overdosed on sleeping pills

Yes and ironically, one of Heath Ledger's first acting roles was on an Australian TV series called Heat, where he portrayed an up and coming junior cyclist who was wrestling with personal issues, like sexuality, identity.etc. On one particular episode, he contemplates suicide. I met him briefly at an Actors Guild party in Sydney about 8 years ago. A shy and fairly reclusive individual.
It's a tragedy. He's a Perth boy, which is where I am heading when I return to Australia in a few weeks. Will make the Dark Knight a must see in June when it's released. It's a complete shock.

Well it wasnt suicide. He's been stressed out from extensive travel in recent weeks. Most likely a mix of prescription and non prescription drugs which were designed to help him sleep. He inadvertenly took a few of each which most likely caused some metaphysical breakdown. Heart attack or something similar. He had a great career and a daughter he loved dearly. I couldnt imagine even the most depressed individual taking their life given how good things are at present. |

I've been watching the bulletins here in the US. There is no mention of alcohol. I'd like to know where you're getting that info from. It's pure speculation. There were bottles of pills found. At least 6 and possibly some residue of a substance found on a $20.00 bill found rolled up next to the bed, but all preliminary information mentioned no alcohol. |

That rolled up $20 bill was bullshit too according to channel 10 last night. They found no cocaine or any illicit drugs during the autopsy or wateva they do to find them. |

True. They make some wild accusation 1 night and then retract it a few hours later. Entertainment programs here in the US were suggesting for the past 24 hours that there was possibly some substance on the $20 note. Now this morning they are saying there was nothing. Bottom line its all speculation, heresay and rumour. Nobody will really know anything until the results are in from additional testing in around 10 days.... |
