New to this edition of TOTC there will be 5 UC points on offer at the end of each of the 21 stage reports. Totalling potential 105 UC points. (See spoiler)
Spoiler The first item I will post in every stage report will be a graphic with two flags:
--- The leftmost flag will be where the stage is held (IGNORE THIS FLAG).
--- The rightmost flag will be of a country/ disputed country or a province from around the world.
After the stage report has been posted post in the thread where you think the rightmost flag belongs to. If you are correct and the first to post the correct answer then 5 UC points will be yours.
Example:
If someone posted 'Botswana' then 5 UC points would be theirs.

Hi there, and welcome to the HQ/presentation of Team Iberia. We're back after the Vuelta and the succesful Giro. We hope to do just as good as the Giro, and we're convinced that we can do well here, in the interesting Around the World challenge.
The Squad
A very all-around squad for us. Decent in TTs, and Ghyselinck as our GC leader, being great on cobbles, good on hills and decent in TTs. He fears the mountains though. On the other hand, there's Aldape, Garate & Duggan, all great climbers capable of doing nice things in both the hills and mountains. And at last, we have some good fighters
The Goals
We have some ambitious goals, just like you know us.
GC Top 3
Finish in the Top 5 of the Ultra classification of ''Around the world''
Win 3 stages
Get in 8 breakaways

Since we (again) didn't have any chance of signing one of the main leaders due to our position in the draft we went with a different strategy: Strong all-rounders capable of dealing with cobbles as well as TTing and hills.
This is a team mainly chasing stage wins while hoping for the cobbled stages to take its toll on the real climbers.
The organizers awarded Adam Hansen with the number 1, so they might believe that our strategy of foing after all-rounders will pay off. After all nr. 1 have never finished worse than 5th in the GC.

T.O.T.C.3: Cartoon Network presentation
- Introduction -
Cartoon Network had a stellar previous campaign at the Tour of the Chosen 3. Although the team was mostly hanging on to the efforts of their competitors in the first week, they managed to gradually improve themselves. 2 stage wins (Andre Cardoso, Ruben Perez) were already enough for Cartoon Network to announce during T.O.T.C. 3 that they will continue sponsorship. The 8th place overall by Daniel Navarro was just the icing on the cake. The team however just missed the desired Top 10 Ultra spot they have worked so hard to get. Cartoon Network reacts to the danger of aiming for a good general classification and sees the benefit in the breakaway stages, and now sends a team into the race capable of breaking stages and getting wins. Cartoon Network now transforms itself from a bad joke to a feared running gag.
- Squad -
This year the team will see two leaders. Ezequiel Mosquera will be our man for the mountains of which there are not too many regrettably. However, this opens up two options for the team: Either he goes for stage wins – or, if the chance provides itself, he might be able to land a surprising Top 5/10 ranking. Different to the previous edition though, Cartoon Network sees this a tertiary objective.
Julian Dean is one of the fastest man in the peloton, and with several flat stages, he might have chance. However, the many cobble stages at the beginning, might make him suffer and the following mountain stages won’t make it easier. If the team wants that Julian Dean is successful in this edition, he will have to get through those until his preferred stages come along – and then, the team will have to work for him.
Bert de Backer is an excellent cobbler. Seeing as we have no clear cut favourite for the overall classification, we hope he will take good use of his skill and try his luck. In other instances, he will have domestique duties though.
Oscar Pujol is another great climber in the team. He has some great fighting spirit and he might be able to both show his skill at mountainous as well as hilly stages. However, we hope he won’t get to the finish in a group since his lack of sprinting puts him at a disadvantage in a fast finish.
Cyril Lemoine will be our wild-card. Honestly, this man could be our very own Peter Sagan in a poor man’s version. His climbing is decent enough for hilly stages, his sprinting is one of the better and his downhilling – oh my! He also has some decent cobble features and overall, this man has to be watched out both for breakaway stages as well as bunch sprints. He will also be a great addition to the lead-out around Julian Dean.
JĂĽrgen Van de Walle has been our officially last pcick but we are very satisfied with him. He should be a great addition for flat stages where he have to set the pace, but also can impress on any number of stages.
Sandeer Cordeel is a great time trialist with some decent fighting spirit, however his role be mostly of domestique services.
Nearly the same can be said about Kai Reus, who seems nearly identical in his stats. Cartoo Network would have preferred to get some greater variance in there but at least we have two decent time trialist in the team to carry our climbers in the Team Time Trial.
Georg Preidler, an Austrian rider, is our last addition. Apparently the team manager said his name just because he is Austrian. He is a stronger climber and we hope to see some action from him in the mountains.
- Philosophy -
Carton Network is all about fun? No, this team means serious business. While the last edition featured a new, slightly awkward, nervous Cartoo Network, this time’s version steps up its game significantly. Ignore all the doubters and nay-sayers. Daniel Navarro and Cartoon Network were ranked last in the previous edition, and got 2 stage wins. This time around, the goal is clear: More stage wins. More attacks. More fun.
The team presents itself in an impeccable manner. The only real weakness could be the lack of a real strong super time trialist, however the team has decent talent in each scenario. Their climbing and sprint expertise can both come in handy, while the cobblestone talents of Bert de Backer, Cyril Lemoine and Sandeer Cordell just wait to be unleashed.
- Goals -
3 stage wins
Top 10 Ulta Team classification
Top 3 Mountain classification
Top 10 general classification
Top 5 points classification
Breakaway attempts on 3 out of 4 cobblestone stages
-How It Happened -
A decent Team Time Trial on stage 1 put Cartoon Network in the middle of the peloton. Our cards were good. On the next day, Cartoon Network showed an impressive performance where they paced for the peloton and Cyril Lemoine made a perfect lead-out for Julian who took the first stage win at this T.O.T.C. edition. However, our spirits were only shortly up-lifted. Stage 3 saw the cobbles and while Mosquera hang on good on the first stage, he missed the time limit on stage 4. This left Cartoon Network early on without a real leader! With all hopes for General Classification gone though, Cartoon Network set its eyes back on the stage wins they crave so much for.
May long live Cartoon Network and many, many bananas!

Banco do Brasil - 4th edition Banco do Brasil returns to the Tour of the Chosen once again, for the 4th time.
This time, the manager made some mistakes in the draft round, so that messed up the team a little bit.
Banco do Brasil is counting on breakaways and hopes to achieve a stage win, preferably in a time trial!

Riders from left to right: Christopher Sutton, Michael van Staeyen, Ghader Mizbani, Liam Holohan, Yoeri Havik, Arman Kamyshev, Maxim Debusschere, Sebastian Siedler.
After seeing TOTC2 and 3 go by without much success, Alcyon are back, this time with a world-beating sprint train. With riders like Holohan, Havik, van Staeyen and Sutton in the team, we should be looking to win almost every sprint stage. In the GC, we may be short on numbers, but Ghader Mizbani is more than capable of producing a good result. Based on Cycling's new "average" system, whereby riders are given different "stats", we have acquired the 2 BEST riders in Pot 2!

"Danny Pate doesn't cycle. He orders the bike to carry him forward."
That's right, Danny Pate will be leading our team in this Tour Of The Chosen. The other teams might give up already. Here's the rest of the team, capable of scoring points on their own:
Goals:
Retake our top position in the overall rankings
Get a stage win
Top 5 GC

We don’t like the dove symbol chosen by the organizers.
We are THE CACTUS GIANT TEAM and we are here to pike.
There will be no peace, there will be no mercy.
We want to fight, we want to destroy the competition, we want to win!
As the All Blacks if we choose a black shirt it is to mourn our competitors’ defeats.
If we choose GIANT as our co-sponsor it is to highlight the size of our results.
We are the best and we will crush you.
You still have time to retract before your team looks ridiculous.
We are telling you CACTUS GIANT will win it all.
Should anyone decide to compete against us, they will remember those words and hoped they would have listen.
Our Objectives
You may not want to know to save a little bit of hope for your team.
Spoiler TOTAL DOMINATION
1st in UC
1st in GC
2 riders in TOP 10
5 Stages
Points Classification will be unavoidable to miss for team, though it is not an objective. We don't look after annexes.
Our Team
All you have to know is that we are the best
GIVE UP NOW or GO TO HELL
