I'm actually moderately surprised that Goss beat Ewan.

Perhaps a sign Goss might be back to his winning days. Will be interesting to see where Ewan ends up next year, most likely at Orica too.

He's been signed for Orica actually. He'll start riding with them in July.

For those of you interested, there is a livestream on the final evening of the Rotterdam Six, with English commentary.
4 couples in the lead, very exciting.

So Terpstra/Keisse defend their title...although I have no idea how this works

Basically it's a cycling circus at its finest. Something the road riders did and do in the off season.
Over 6 days, there is a GC of rider couples. The main goal is to get a lap on the other couples. If couples finish equal, points are taken into account, which are won by sprints. Points and laps can be gained over all the various events across the 6 days. Each day there is a buttload of events, usually they last 30 minutes to one hour.
In this case, you saw Keisse/Terpstra going for a lap instead of going for points in the last race. They conserved their energy in the sprints and managed to get a lap on the others to get the win.

So that's why they were celebrating before it was over, because they knew the others couldn't get a lap on them in the time remaining?

Australian time trial championship brings us an Orica-GreenEdge podium:
1. Hepburn
2. Durbridge
3. Howson
Main rival Rohan Dennis got blown off his bike by a whirlwind.

That is a surprise.
Should I expect a 2014 NC thread?

Nah. Durbridge is ill, Dennis quit and no one else even half decent showed
Ah right I didn't know Durbridge was ill. That makes more sense.

Somebody finished 30 minutes down and the winner took less than an hour.

He has come last in the last 5 ITT NC. Most of those have been at least 20 minutes slower than the winner.
