The first hilly stage, and it is quite a bumpy offering. Bakelandts and Schumacher are the stage favourites, with also a first chance for the GC leaders to race at the front.

The break had the same order, Rodriguez > Reichenbach > Passalacqua > Vandborg on both climbs, so it makes the KoM calculations quite easy to calculate!

The peloton reduced to 46 riders on the climb, and the chase of the break continues on the descent down into the valley. The last little hill at 10km to go is the last climbing launchpad available.

The Ukrainian has something to prove here, and what a great opportunity to take something from the race - with his GC hopes already gone.

A clever mode too by Koenigsegg. They don't need to chase with Danacik up the road, and if the Czech stays there then the Swedish team are simply rotating their race lead.
