A thread to discuss the current Ashes series between England and Australia, so let me start things off...

Well, the Aussies started pretty poorly, and my friends and I were all saying "Oh god! It's over, we might as well forget about it now!" But in a dramatic 2 days we've turned it around with some great performances by everyone (except Watson and Rodgers who did fuck all Pfft). So, your opinions?

We can't bat against short balls. But I still expect to retain the Ashes, probably 2-2.

This Test is done, but I think that afterwards Cook might lose all of his confidence and England will just sink down and down IMO.

Cook is too good for that. If Trott sorts out his batting and Swann his bowling then all is well. In the summer we struggled but held on, should work again.

Your batting was fairly weak and uninspired. Frankly luck that England collapsed in such dramatic style, and that is a 1 in 1000000000000 event.
Yes it's 1-0 now, but if Australia do not win the next test then you're not getting the Ashes back.

And when that happens it's not too long before it all rolls round again as they sort out the timings.
