Tour of America - Stage 3
roturn
imageshack.us/a/img69/2950/j4f3.jpg

3rd stage and the next possible sprint finish.
So far i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/wwe_zpsb6c72e16.png Greipel and i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/hol_zpsfe2f7500.png Serebriakov are the stage winners and are top favourites as well today.

imageshack.us/a/img855/7676/nkkb.jpg

Only 3 riders in the breakaway as the teams might start to believe in a successful breakaway that early.
And we have some known guys in here.
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/bvp_zps98bbf78a.png Mihaylov was already in the breakaway of stage 1 and might be interested in the KoM jersey.
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/prp_zps2240497e.png Allonca was our first attacker in the Tour of America 2013 but wasn`t successful. Now he made it into the group.
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/aip_zps544721ca.png Dennis as only newcomer here.

imageshack.us/a/img31/7232/kqjc.jpg

We have two Cat.3 mountain sprints today, which will reward a total of 12 points. So we will definitely see a KoM change today.
Allonca just takes the first 6 points ahead of Mihaylov and Dennis. So far it`s not decided yet, which makes the next KoM more interesting.

imageshack.us/a/img18/7497/kuxv.jpg

The next KoM follows just a little bit later and we have the same order again. So it`s i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/prp_zps2240497e.png Allonca getting rewarded with the KoM jersey tomorrow with Mikhaylov not being able to use his small advantage.

imageshack.us/a/img41/9964/vy0m.jpg

Matt Rowe showed himself much improved yesterday. So his airBaltic team is doing the pace as the gap is at 7min with 95km to go. Can the Brit win todays stage?

imageshack.us/a/img708/7146/c7j4.jpg

With 55km to go the breakaway reaches the sprint, where Mihaylov wins it ahead of Allonca and Dennis.
The gap is down to 4'10 and also Hollister and Team WWE are chasing now.

imageshack.us/a/img844/3023/9q47.jpg

Again no chance for the breakaway as the sprinter teams are too strong. With 10km to go they catch the trio and the sprint can start.

imageshack.us/a/img534/6984/zz79.jpg

Just like on the first day, we have a very weird sprint with just one super long train.
For some reason Hollister decided not to do their own train even though it did work perfectly yesterday.

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/air_zps84b8db92.png Rowe
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/hol_zpsfe2f7500.png Serebriakov
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/vwm_zps2ffcd386.png Castaneda
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/aip_zps544721ca.png Salleh
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/amx_zps91aadbbd.png Farrar
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/wwe_zpsb6c72e16.png Greipel
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/spr_zps39a3252c.png Awang
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/vwm_zps2ffcd386.png Sieberg
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/rbc_zps9a8b3bfb.png Tzortzakis
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/ozc_zps749fc2f0.png Cooke
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/mcc_zpse0e8a92e.png Eefting
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/csc_zpsbdf7f4ce.png Teruel
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/aip_zps544721ca.png Silvestre
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/bvp_zps98bbf78a.png Chicchi

So the biggest names missing in that list are i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/src_zps90f6d964.png Mezgec, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/prp_zps2240497e.png Santos, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/rep_zps8fe99b28.png Ferrari and i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/mei_zpsbbaf4141.png Manan. All of them are in the group behind Chicchi.
Also worth a mention is the strong positioning by i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/aip_zps544721ca.png Salleh so far. He is showing a good fight against the better PCT sprinters.

imageshack.us/a/img9/3999/x2ub.jpg

Just like Farrar in the first stage the leadout for Rowe wasn`t the longest and so he has to be in the wind for the last 1,9km.
Serebriakov and Castaneda though in a perfect wheel.

imageshack.us/a/img19/8788/5tp9.jpg

Salleh can`t follow the high pace which creates a gap between those in front and the later sprinters like Greipel, who lose their good position this way.

imageshack.us/a/img36/1231/hc4p.jpg

It will be a very close finish for those three. Rowe was already quite some time in the wind, so he has the worst situation of them while the other two go into the wind at the same time.

imageshack.us/a/img36/8528/zxpp.jpg

A huge gap for those three ahead of a huge group of more sprinters.
Rowe is beaten and Castaneda is the fastest right going past Serebriakov.
From behind there will be no danger and the stage podium is decided. We just need the order.

imageshack.us/a/img801/7360/qsvy.jpg

Dominant win by Castaneda. A big win and the 3rd stage winner on the 3rd stage.
Serebriakov with another podium which let him stay in the GC lead.
Rowe as 3rd still with a nice result after being in the lead for almost 2km.

Behind them Greipel takes the 4th ahead of Farrar with his best stage result so far. Manan, Awang, Chicchi, Mezgec and Teruel to finish as next in the top10.

No time gaps today. All riders finish safely in the peloton.
