I was wondering as to the effect that doping would have on some of that stats in the game. Like would it affect all stats the same, or just a few of them, and would it only really be tailored towards a particular riders specialization. For example, if I wanted to downgrade Horner or Froome because of lots of people think they are cheats, then how would I decrease, also how much increase would there be, 1-3 points or even 6-7. I assume it varies on how much you do it and such like. Will it have other implications, like changing the age of decline. I was wondering what you guys thought about this. |

I'd say quite a lot: major loss of stamina, at least 8, specialty should go down by 5-6 I think. Rest about 3-4 lower I think.

You can downgrade as you want.
If a rider is prouved doped, delet him and that's done. If not, you keep him as he is .

I wouldn't delete them. I'd say give them a suspension (don't know how exactly, should be somewhere on the forum) and give them a contract as free agent for 2 years or for the length of the suspension. That seems more realistic to me.

Yeah, well just in general, like if I think a rider will dope or just want them to be better, it's a RP thing. |

Remember, this is a game. Nothing in this game follows the real word, so why should doping?
If you have problems with dopers, then don't play a cycling or sports game featuring real life persons. |

How did I make you troubles? Forced to read my post?
In this case believe me, your thread was even more troublesome to me. |

Arrgghh. I know I know, will everyone stop being right! It's really annoying! I'm kidding, and I was last time, sorry to trouble you, but I get what you're saying and what I want to know. If I say I don't like this chicken sandwich, where can I get a better one, it would be silly to say: if you don't like chicken sandwiches you shouldn't have sandwiches, just have the sandwich as it is because it doesn't have to be (run out of rubbish metaphor endings).
Well, the point is, I really don't care about who or why, or if you think I shouldn't or whatever. I want to edit the stats of a rider, in fact they're not even real! I was wondering how much you think is realistic and what your opinions are. I don't see why you'd waste time posting about how there's no point me playing this game if I'm going to do this, that makes no sense. I don't have problems, that's why I'm increasing the stats. As I said its for RP purposes so it's not following the real world and I don't want it to!
Edit: Finally you are being troublesome as you are creating difficulty and (to a limited extent) annoyance. Your comment did not contribute in anyway to the discussion as i have already decided to do so and by displaying your opinions you have done nothing to change my mind, nor have you presented it in a helpful mannor, making this just pointless and only troubling by being a waste of space as an argument in general, considering it has no relevance to the original topic, which was merely asking for opinions on a completely different subject matter.

Oh interesting topic! I'd say that it depends. Like with riders like Horner or Luiz Leon Sanchez, who have been unofficially banned (completely without a contract), that you could lower the stats, but I suggest trying to keep an innocent until proven guilty approach Otherwise we won't be able to truly acknowledge any great achievement and just suspect any rider who does well of doing drugs.
As to the stats, I think that there are things that can come down to character, particularly fighter stat which aren't really affected by drugs in my opinion, but it's really up to you.
As to how in game to ban a rider, you can give them an injury that lasts a max of 120 days |

i agree with this assessment
take the example of Dekker:
he was around a 75-77 rider in the 2012 Expansion pack (or was it 2011) and has been reduced to around 70 in the 2013 Expansion |

What does the PCM daily community set as their stats is as is for me. If they are found guilty in the real world of cycling, I just put them as a free agent and wouldn't get a team for a couple of seasons, depending on their real life ban.
Stats are basically guidelines, on how strong a rider is. It depends on how you play the game. I myself manage to win a stage w/ a domestique in front of beast puncheurs on a stage designed for them.
