Team Spidertech Will Return for 2014, be 19th WT Team
Steve Bauer announced yesterday at a news conference in Montreal earlier today that he has secured enough funds to create a Canadian WT team for the 2014 season. The big question was who would ride for the new team, and would Ryder Hesjedal move over from Garmin? More details to come

Hi guys my name is welker3257, and I'm going to be a DS for Team SpiderTech in 2014. I will be giving reports on the races that I will be attending as part of the team. For the races I'm not at, check the Monthly Spider for small updates on how the rest of the team is doing. Here is a list of the WT races I will be at
Santos Tour Down Under | Tirreno-Adriatico | E3 Harelbeke | Gent - Wevelgem | Ronde van Vlaanderen | Paris - Roubaix | Tour de Romandie | Giro d'Italia | Tour de Suisse | Tour de France | Tour de Pologne | Eneco Tour | Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec | Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal |

Ryder Hesjedal is the team's best rider, and we will need a big year from him to stay in the WT. He will target Tirreno, TDF, and the Canadian Classics
Stijn Vandenbergh is our leader on the cobbles. He will peak for the spring classics and Eneco Tour/Vuelta
Here is the rest of our squad, as you can see, we have lots of solid riders, and we will chase stage wins in most races this season.

Good luck! I thought of doing something similar with story, but in the end I chose not to (and brought back a different team)
Good luck for this, although, Im not sure how Hesjedal would be received back in the team now, after all the doping stuff. (Parisien was pretty close to Bauer)

I don't think he would be received too differently than Parisien. Also, how would a Canadian WT team survive on the top without Hesjedal if they didn't raid Garmin, BMC, and Trek leaders

14 Riders Sign With SpiderTech
Steve Bauer has 14 signatures to ride with the new WT team next season. The biggest names are: Canadian Ryder Hesjedal, Aussie Leigh Howard, and Belgian Stijn Vandenbergh. Howard and Vandenbergh come to SpiderTech to be undisputed leaders for the first time in their careers. Other signings include Canadians: Svein Tuft, Dominque Rollin, Francois Parisien, Ryan Anderson, Ryan Roth, Christian Meier, Hugo Houle, and Guilliame Boivin. The team has also signed Americans: Danny Pate, Ian Boswell, and Lawson Craddock.
When asked about the signings Steve Bauer said," I'm very pleased with the team so far. We have guys for all terrains, and a good mix of veterans and youngsters. I'm very glad that Ryder chose to sign with the team, and he will be welcomed despite his doping confession."
The final team will be composed of 26 riders, and the final 12 will be announced at a later date.

I think you can stop this story. Danny Pate has been signed.
