I had just started a career with former riders of Team Barloworld except Chris Froome (Because I hate him and the goals would be too high). I precise I had choose the difficult level.
My great goal is to be in the WT at the end of the season.
My roster:
John-Lee Augustyn
Francesco Bellotti
Diego Caccia
Steve Cummings
Matteo Carrara
Luca Celli
Giampaolo Cheula
Mads Christensen
Baden Cooke
Marco Corti
Alexander Efimkin
Vladimir Efimkin
Mauro Facci
Enrico Gasparotto
Robert Hunter
Daryl Impey
Fredrik Kessiakoff
Paolo Longo Borghini
Michele Merlo
Carlo Scognamiglio
Konstantin Siutsou
Geraint Thomas
Amets Txurruka
My Goals :
I already can't try to succeed two of it : The Tour de France hasn't given me a wild card and only WT teams are allowed to participate to the Tour of Down Under. I hope I'll participate a max of WT races ...
If you have advice for everything tell me

The Aussie Championship
Here we go for 160 kms on an hilly circuit with the highest slopes around 9% and a downhill. I have only one rider for this race, the sprinter Baden Cooke.
The breakaway takes shape in about 30 kms with 5 riders with Baden in this group. The escape group got a maximal gap of 4 min 30 s Orica-GreenEdge of Gerrans and Sky of Porte chased the leader group. At 10kms of the arrival Gerrans attacks next Porte, Evans and C.Meyer followed him. This group catch the leader group at the feet at the last climb of the day.
At the hardest slopes, Evans, Porte and Gerrans take about 30 s but to the downhill I succeed to join this group and beat for the title. I choose to follow Evans but I did the wrong choice because Gerrans wins but I get a unbelievable 2nd place .

Nice team, but the finances are a bit over the top.
About 450000 profit per month is a bit too much, you can hire so many riders with that, put all-legendary scouts & trainers and go to every trainingcamp etc.
And it might've been better if you used a Db as well
Nice second place there though

Well, ask the millions of cycling fans.
Plus, he's a colombian, and who would've won the Tour without Froome? Right...

Tour of San Luis
Here we you for the Tour of San Luis which is composed with 4 flat stages, 2 hilly stage and a 19,8 Km TT.
My squad:
Luca Celli
Giampaolo Cheula
Steve Cummings
Vladimir Efimkin
Mauro Facci
Geraint Thomas
I expect a top 10 or a top 5 for the final GC with Thomas with TT and hilly finals.
Stage 1
We begin with a flat stage of 166km for sprinters.
A breakaway left from the km 0, this breakaway was composed of Gastauer (ALM), Failli (FAR), Chiarini (AND) and Hovelynck (LAN). They got a maximal gap of 7 min but Team Saxo Bank of Haedo and Acqua & Sapone of Napolitano decided to take the chase
Finally Haedo takes the win and also the leader jersey.
My best rider in this stage is Thomas with a 16th place.
After this stage, I received a mail which is written I won't have a wild-card for Paris-Nice . Another target that I cannot try to succeed.

Stage 2
For this second stage another flat stage before a hilly stage for the riders interesting by the GC. A stage of 145 km with the first KOM climb of the race so the first KOM jersey.
The first attack happens at km 30 with 4 riders. Beppu (OGE), Andriato (FAR), Coyot (SAU) and Ratto (LIQ). I decided a few kilometers later to attack with Facci but this chase cost me too energy to win the KOM climb which was taken by Ratto.
The breakaway had a gap going until 4 minutes but because of Team Saxo Bank of the GC leader Juan-José Haedo it was catch up at 13 km to the arrival.
Again a massive sprint and again a victory of Haedo.
Geraint Thomas got a good 7th place and will be my best chance for the next stage hoping a podium
Also there was a fracture in the bunch with a dozen of riders like Rujano, Pinotti and Nordhaug. They lost 1min 34s. A good new for the final GC.

Stage 3
This is it! The first hilly stage. 160,5km composed of 3 climbs.
Three men escaped at Km 5, Gastauer (ALM), Paiani (SAU) and Cummings (BAR)
They got a gap going to 5m 30s.
Cummings won the 2 first KOM and taken the KOM jersey
At 55km to the finish, some riders ( Ginanni, Chalapud, Amorison, Garzelli, Mezzanti...) tried to put the leaders in trouble but Team Saxo Bank controls the bunch.
Perfectly placed by Celli, Thomas starts his sprint in first position and take the win
Spoiler Overall Classification
1st Geraint Thomas (BAR)
2nd David Le Lay (SAU) + 8"
3rd Michael Albasini (OGE) + 8"
Next: 19,8Km TT

You're right. Although I can buy better equipment. I am hesitating to hire Kolobnev he is free but the idea at the start is to do the first season with only former riders of Barloworld ...
I get a wild card for MSR and the Ronde of Vlaanderen. I prepared a training camp in flanders for Cooke, Hunter and Thomas for the Ronde of Vlaanderen. For those 2 races, the sponsor wants a top 10.

Stage 5
After the Time trial, this stage is probably the last which can make change in the GC.
A 163km stage with any difficulties except the final climb with gradients over 10%.
Now, It's the first time that I must control the race. I let 6 men in the breakaway: Masciarelli (ASA), Beppu (OGE),Coyot (SAU), Ratto (LIQ), Laverde (COC) and Failli (FAR). I let a gap going until 3'.
Cheula controls the bunch until the km 130, next he let the head of the bunch to Efimkin. The escape men were catched up at 16km to the arrival. At 5km, Lofkvist attacks, I decided to do the same with Thomas. Albasini, Rujano and Le Lay did the same thing. At the head of bunch, Geraint was alone, without any teammates who are tired by the chase and the rythm of the final. At 1,5km, Geraint is in 2nd position and he is nearly empty of energy. I launched my sprint but Albasini is too strong. This 2nd place probably gives me the final victory for the GC and also I take the KOM jersey which stay in the team after Cumming's leading.
Stage Classification
1st Michael Albasini (OGE) 3h 49' 25"
2nd Geraint Thomas (BAR) + 10"
3rd David Le Lay (SAU) + 21"
4th Thomas Lofkvist (SKY) + 34 "
5th José Rujano (AND) + 34 "
6th Peter Kennaugh (SKY) + 34 "
7th Ruben Plaza (MOV) + 34"
8th Steve Morabito (BMC) + 34 "
9th Daniel Navarro Garcia (SAX) + 34 "
10th Pieter Weening (OGE) + 34 "
Spoiler Overall Classification
1st Geraint Thomas (BAR)
2nd Michael Albasini (OGE) + 44"
3rd David Millar (GAR) + 1'20"
