Database - PCM Daily Exp Pack, 2012 NC
Evoloution of Attributes - 0.3
Difficulty - Hard
Hi i have been hired by Patrick Lefevere to be a DS for Omega Pharma Quickstep for the upcoming season. I feel blessed to have this oppertunity at working at 1 of the biggest teams to ever ride a bike. I will be working closely with Brian Holm and Davide Bramati as we divide ourselves up for the WT races. We also have Wilfried Peeters a former winner of G-W who will be the boss of the classics departement.
OPQS have a rich history as a classics team and of course that is our DNA, but i have come here with the mantra of helping us compete in the major Tours, we of course are more rounded than ever with the signing of the Manx Missile Mark Cavendish but we plan on building a team to deliver a GT, its a tough aim just as Sky have took over in the Big Tours but we feel we can get our foot in the door in the future. I can assure everyone that this year is by no means a gap year as some may think, we will challenge on all fronts but in August their will be some "Huge" news as we look to challenge for GC in the GT's. We will be overhauling a few areas in the team as we feel we are too strong in 1 discipline.

OPQS Leader's
In this DB i have edited 1 stat and that is i have put Boonen to 80 instead of 81 hope your ok with that.
Tom Boonen
A legend of cycling tied for the most wins in Paris Roubaix, he goes for number 5 this year to become the undisputed most winning rider of Roubaix. He is coming off a great year last year he will start his season in Qatar. His schedule will then be Omloop, K-B-K, Paris Nice, MSR, E3, G-W, RVV and Paris Roubaix. He will then knock it off a bit and the plan is to ride Tour of Poland, Eneco Tour and La Vuelta.
Mark Cavendish
The fastest sprinter of the last few years will look to win the Green points jersey at the "100" edition of the Tour de France. He will open up in Qatar, Mark will co lead the team in MSR with Tom Boonen, their is also a high possibility he goes to Italy for the Giro, were he really wants to win the points jersey to complete the set. He will then unwind his season with the August classics, Paris Tours will be his final race.
]
Tony Martin
Tony's main goal is the flat Tour de France ITT in Mont Saint Michel, he will also help Mark in the sprints and get his own chances, he will also ride La Vuelta to get a good shape for the WC where he will be favourite to defend his title. He will look to win as many ITT as he can we feel he can dominate in the discipline for the next 5 years.
Sylvain Chavanel
Sylvain is a great rider he will co lead many races in the classics although he knows Tom Boonen is the main man to protect, Chava will get his own chances he is lined up to compete at the Tour where he will go stage hunting and then will ride the Canadian Classics instead of riding the Vuelta. He leaves the team at the end of the year after making it known he would like a new challenge. We know he will be as professional as always in what we hope is another succesful year.
Michael Kwiatkowski
At just 22 years of age he is the future of the team he can do everything he can sprint at then end of a tough day he can go up hills with the best he hangs on in the mountains and he is a great in the ITT, their is nothing this guy cant do. He could help in the cobbles but we want him in shape for the hilly classics we feel he can top 5 the 3 hilly classics in April.
Were not sure after that what he will do we will decide after LBL if he will ride the Giro. Were not sure weather 2 GT's will be an option at his age, its a strong possibility he does though. He will line up in Portugal in the Algarve for his first race of the year.

Couple if simple tips
1) Crop your images. Can be done either on Photobucket or using Paint/Photoshop/GIMP whatever. Will make them look neater, and you can cut out a lot of repeated information
2) Try not to have the images link to a webpage. This can be changed in your account settings on Photobucket, or by removing the .html part of the link when you paste it to the site.
Otherwise looks good. I love OPQS so will be following

Got it:
Go to User Settings > Albums > Untick "Link Back to Albums", it's nearly at the bottom.
Basically then when people click on the image it pops up in a new window with just the image, rather than opening a new tab back on your photobucket album page

Also guys i want some feed back on rider schedule's, as you know we have 5 riders with 77+ on cobbles, i have only done the fitness of the 5 leaders. I was thinking isit worth making all 5 peak for the major cobbled races. How about take Terpstra and Vandenbergh and then just let Stybar have a mini peak for the end of March classics, E-3 and G-W. As then he can peak for Eneco, Montreal and Quebec etc. Because else i wont have anyone in optimal shape for Vattenfall and Plouay?. |

Eneco isn't really worth peaking for.

We will target GC with Peter and we have Fenn and Trentin for the flat stages.
Stage 1
9 kms to go and we are moving up through the gears with Brambilla on the front.
2.8 kms to go and Fenn is getting blocked, Grabsch will lead Trentin out for Fenn.
Trentin does a monster leadout for Fenn.
Hushovd takes the win, Fenn was gaining all the time but we ran out of road.
Top 10: 2nd and 4th not too bad, Trentin was great today.

Yes your right, we could still do well their without peaking. Tom will be using it as prep for La Vuelta so we should be fine their. |
