SOJASUN COMPLETE TRIPLE SWOOP
Since recently taking over the reigns at Sojasun, Morgan Schneiderlin has been busy in the EPIC Young Riders transfer market. After lots of discussions and a few sleepless nights, Sojasun has revealed the signatures of 3 riders - half of their allocation.
Evaldas Siskevicius is no longer the lone ranger as more riders from outside of France have joined the team. "We needed a little bit more of an international flavour", Morgan told reporters. "This will give the sponsor a bit more exposure in American and Asian markets. It also provides the team with potential to, in future years, win promoton into the World Tour".
Firmansyah Sinaga, 18 (INA)
Will more signings be joining 'Les Verts'? "I believe, yes! We are close to signing another rider from North America. There are also some Frenchman on the market and we are eager to explore those avenues". Exciting times for Schneiderlin and Sojasun.

Sojasun sign explosive young climber
Today it was announced that young Indonesian climber Firmansyah Sinaga has confirmed and gone through with a deal to sign with French Pro Continental team Sojasun. Previously the team has been almost 100% French but this new signing shows a change of directrion. They are now an international team, and one aiming for promotion.
Firmansyah Sinaga is a punchy climber. He can handle the small hills as well as the big ones, so maybe one day he'll be one for the Ardennes too! His climbing is not his only attribute though. He is strong in all areas so he can hold on with the best. What he may lack in raw ability he makes up for in grit and determination. Imagine him when he is a good climber himself too!
Firmansyah has lived most of his life in Newcastle, so some people will be surprised to see him listed as Indonesian. The simple reason for this is because his parents have lived there, and that is why he is Indonesian, having grown up in both the Pennines and the mountain ranges of the Malay archipelago, it is perhaps unsurprising he is a climber.

SOJASUN CAPTURE ANOTHER NORTH AMERICAN TALENT
Canadian Travis Jones has agreed a deal to sign with Sojasun for the 2013 season. The young man from the Rocky Mountains is a climber with lots of potential and will be a rider capable of achieving special results from the outset at Sojasun.
DS Morgan Schneiderlin had the following words to say on the signing:
"We're pleased to add another young climber to our squad. Travis is the sort of rider who will easily fit into our squad and we're excited to add another nationality to our ever diverse squad".
"Travis will ride in predominantly Continental level stage races this year, we anticipate he will ride in the Tour of California as well as the classic 1 day races in Canada!"

SOJASUN CAPTURE YOUNGSTER ON DEADLINE DAY
Frenchman Aquali Feunard (18) has become the fifth rider to sign with Sojasun for the upcoming 2013 season. One of three triplets hoping to break into the professional peloton this season, Aquali is the first Frenchman to join the team in the young riders transfer market since negotiations began a week ago.
"We're really pleased to be signing Aquali, he is a rider of great endurance, an all rounder who could yet develop into something special" said Schneiderlin.
"The team is really pleased to welcome yet another young rider and now we're just looking forward for the season to start."
With 5 out of 6 available young rider spots now full, Schneiderlin is happy with his business. "It's going to be tough in terms of promotion with several strong teams considered more likely than us this year. But we have riders who can win races. Riders who will attack and excite our fans."
"I'm not sure if we will be allocated a sixth rider tomorrow, but I'm pleased with the squad we currently have. We have strengthened and that is pleasing."
Sojasun will begin to reveal team news for upcoming races such as the Tour de Gabon at the request of race directors.

All contracted riders are encouraged to be patient in terms of selection, with only 5 stage races being available to the squad in Part 1. More will become available later in the season.

Unfortunately the Tour de Langkawi and the GP Lugano clash, so he can't be in 2 places at once!
Travis' provisional schedule for Part 1:
GP la Marseillaise (1)
Tour de Langkawi (10)
Criterium International (3)
Part 1 Total: 14
Remaining: 48

Our squad lists have been handed over to the UCI for the entirety of Part 1 of the season.
Mr Schneiderlin expects to be busy in the upcoming days. He has an important match at Old Trafford on Saturday before a busy week of study for the following 5/6 days.
I will still answer any PMs from agents or people of interest.
Part 2 and 3 of the upcoming season will be busier for the team than Part 1, so for any riders with special interests, please begin to discuss!

VICTOIRE POUR MAXIME DANIEL Ã la Tropicale Amissa Bongo
21 YEAR OLD CYCLING SENSATION MAXIME DANIEL stormed to victory on Stage 7 of the opening race of the EPIC season in Gabon.
The Sojasun ace left his breakaway rivals in the dust as he powered across the line to claim a glorious victory.
Maxime could only say a few words in between deep breaths at the finish line "Je suis ravi! Merci Gabon!"
Celebrations were held right across France, with fireworks in Paris attended by thousands of fans, while former French president Nicolas Sarkozy has called for a public holiday to mark Maxime's achievement.
The stage winner will be paraded in his home town upon arrival back in France, before being present at his own statue unveiling.
Meanwhile after the race, the riders enjoyed a day of relaxation on a private beach. Our Soigneur Philippe took tanning a little bit too far.

MARSEILLE 'MAGNIFIQUE' FOR MAXIME MEDEREL
Maxime Mederel achieved one of Sojasun's goals for the season after a fantastic sprint to the line to claim 3rd place out of a large group of favourites at the GP la Marseillaise.
Mederel pipped Voeckler (EUC) to the line to stand on the podium, in a group that also contained Travis Jones and Jonathan Hivert.
There may be some regret that Mederel was not sprinting for victory, although third place was more than satisfactory for DS Morgan Schneiderlin.
Earlier in the race Aquali Feunard had been active in trying to get into the break of the day, before Mederel made it into a group of 12 with a later attack. Jones and Hivert would later join the front group after attacking out of the Peloton.
Alexis Vuillermoz suffered a nasty crash on a downhill with just under 50km to go, but still managed to finish the race. Vuillermoz will go for scans tomorrow, although nothing serious is expected to be found.

JONES READY FOR BIGGEST TEST IN LANGKAWI
Travis Jones believes he is ready to challenge the favourites on Stage 5 of the Tour de Langkawi. Stage 5 is likely to provide the last opportunity for the climbers to make an impact on the GC.
"I've enjoyed my time in Malaysia so far, riding in my first stage race has been incredibly exciting. My team mates were superb for me on Stage 3, Sinaga, Feillu, Yannick, these guys have been great. We believe we can control the race again".
The team was boosted today by Evaldas Siskevicius' performance on the flat Stage 4, as the Lithuanian crossed the line in 5th place (pictured).

ETIENNE L'EXCELLENTE! VICTOIRE!
Etienne Tortelier claimed a fantastic victory on Stage 7 of the Tour de Langkawi after coming out on top of a 6 man breakaway.
The Frenchman narrowly beat Kuznetsov of Katusha to earn Sojasun's 2nd win of the season. Travis Jones remains 6th overall after a good ride in the Genting Highlands on Stage 5.
For Etienne, the win was a pleasant surprise. "We just wanted to get in the break, I was trying, Yannick was trying too, but I managed to get a bit lucky today and escaped".
"I was surprised by the performance of Orica and Bardiani. I thought they would set it up for a sprint as they missed out yesterday also".
"It was frantic at the end but I got my tactics right. Crossing the line first was an amazing feeling. This one is for my family. J'adore ma famille!"
The win means that Sojasun have now successfully achieved 2 goals for the first part of the season. An excellent start to Morgan Schneiderlin's reign and with his excellent form in the football world for Southampton right now, he's got a lot of reason to be feeling smug!
