Is Bäcksted good time trialist?

My friend says Bäckstedt isn't and never was good time trialist. I don't think so, but I can't find any good results on big races in TTs. Please hand me some

he won a Giro time trial a few years back. give me a few minutes and I'll tell you the year.

EDIT: turns out he didn't win. 2003 Giro stage 15

he was never really a good time triallist. he was a decent one. slightly above average when the TTs are shorter.

He is above average, not bad, but not good either.

In weaker starting fields he can compete for the win.

I think he was swedish TT champ once...

He also made an attempt at the hour record.

...okay, not THAT hour record. The derny-paced one. And actually, he was genuinely unlucky in how that played out.

Bäckstedt is the Swedish road champ. Gustav Larsson is the TT champ, where Bäckstedt was second.

nah, Matthe Pronk is simply the best at that.. he even improved his own world record
