Background
Bardiani Valvole-CSF Inox (UCI Team Code: BAR) is a professional continental cycling team registered in Italy that participates in UCI Continental Circuits races and when selected as a wildcard to UCI ProTour events. Navigare was an on-and-off title-sponsor since 1990, when the team was called Italbonifica-Navigare. The current main sponsor, Bardiani Valvole, became associated with the team in 2013, prior to which CSF Group (2008–12) and Ceramica Panaria (2000–2007) were main sponsors. Bardiani is currently managed by mysterious businessman 'The Hobbit'. Despite his shady past, he has lead the team to great things, and that trend will continue into the future.
The team is about to begin its second season in the EPIC, and the second season for its manager. Our Italian heritage is more impotant than ever to us, and we are looking to be a team based in Italy, which can get some great results while still being mostly Italian. We have also begun the transition to a sprinter's team, as shown by our young talents and our ambitious showing in the transfer market. Hopefully 2014 will be a year of success.

Bardiani Valvole announce shocking new signings!
The Italian pro Continental outfit sponsored by Bardiani Valvole have today announced they have signed a brilliant new rider to add to their team next year! They say that they wanted to reform under the new UCI system and become a dominant force in World Cycling. They say that their new man is vital in helping them do this.
In a show of new style, the Bardiani management had gone to great lengths to keep this deal under wraps, (at least until a certain someone wrote a big clue on our HQ ) What we do know is that the other cycling teams regard it as a massive coup and a real boost to the team. Speaking to the press on Saturday the new team manager says this is just one step in bringing Bardiani to the top. He says he will continue to attempt to sign the top riders available to him.
Meanwhile they have just announced another lead out man/ young sprinter for the team next year. He has a close reltaionship to the team and hopes to have a long and glorious future with the team. He will mostly work for Fabian Brookes and Modolo but may get a few chances to lead.
Bardiani looks set to mostly be a sprint team, with Sacha Modolo the star as of now, in the model of Argos Shimano, but they are willing to accept if they want to succeed they must bring in a wider range of talent from all disciplines. They want only the best, but also need another lead out man and some solid domestiques.
That is why...
Bardiani are Recruiting
And they need you. If any agent wishes to join this brilliant team with high ambitions then please get in touch. We are looking to globalise and are no longer limited to Italian riders, so feel free to contact the team manager if you wish any rider you are connected with to join this team. We will also be contacting riders we have our eyes on anyway so get the places while their hot, we only have 5 spots left!

Planning the first part of the season, with either Excel or PCM itself.
Keep in mind that overlapping races(in your case only Langkawi overlaps with Lugano and possibly Strade Bianche) mean that a rider can't start in both races, and that the max raceday amount for the whole season is 62

Fabian Brookes Introduction
G'day mate! I'm Fabian Brookes, but you can call me CavKiller. I've signed with Bardiani for this season, because I want to start off racing in a lower division. I know I can win in the Pro Tour, but I want to show these continental teams what it means to have a real superstar among them. Get ready guys, 'cause the next sprinting sensation is here...

Hi, i'm Tom. I'm a sprinter and i'm 18 years old. I already won the Irish NC, but apparently i can't be counted as an amateur and they made the 2nd, Matt Brammeier the winner. Well, that means i had to wait 'till this year, since i'm a pro now and will be able to wear the jersey if i win. I'll mainly be a lead out man for Fab and Sacha this year though, but hopefully i can also go for the win myself once or twice. The Manager said that if i perform well, i might even be able to ride at Milano - San Remo and/or Tirreno Adriatico, in the World Tour!
That's it though from me for now, see you in the sprints!

Our Race in Qatar
Bardiani had a mediocre, and slightly disappointing time in Qatar. We needed a podium, but we only managed to break the top 10 on a few occasions. The team tactics were a bit off, so it wasn't any fault of the riders, more the cruel dictator Ollfardh for allowing our riders such low resistance. Indeed the mighty sprint train we'd built in the winter burned up in the Arabian sun.
Unsurprisingly we failed at the Team Time Trial, thankfully we weren't going for GC, but hoping for good showing in sprint stages.
Indeed Fabian could have won a sprint, but the group ahead swept up the podium, leaving him, 'the best of the rest'
He wasn't the only strong rider though, our other new signing, Irishman Tom O'Callaghan went on the attack and performed well.
Perhaps most importantly of all, Fabian showed us he can mix it with the big boys, here he is right up front lacking the conventional lead out, he does it the traditional way!
Hopefully we'll be even better in Oman and Langkawai. |
