First big signing

Team Cofidis has signed Pierre de la Montagne to a contract. The youngster will definitely become an important rider on the team, and will get his chances to take big wins. Pierre is a very talented stage racer from the Alps,

Aaron Arblaster has made these comments after signing for Cofidis:

I'm excited to be crossing the English channel and riding for Cofidis this season! What an opportunity this is going to be!

What drew me towards Cofidis was its rich past and its position as one of the strongest teams in the CT. As a Time Trialist I know how Cofidis helped advance the careers of David Millar (sort of...) and Bradley Wiggins, so to be following in their footsteps is inspiring.

I'll have to bring with me my own supply of Cornish Pasties, but I don't care. Just want to get racing!

Thomas Schwabe

My name is Thomas Schwabe and I am one of the biggest talents in modern cycling. Till now only experts know my name but this will change soon. Probably just after I beat everyone at Paris-Nice. Many teams were interested but I decided to go to Cofidis as this team will give me the best support for the more important stage races later in the season. The team manager said that always the best rider will be the leader and with riders like Jerome Coppel and Rein Taaramae, it is obvious that I will not need too long to be the team leader.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Hey everyone, my name is Jordan Birtles and I have somehow wound up here at Cofidis after UnitedHealthcare decided to release me straight away. Cofidis really is a great place for a young, ambitious time-triallist to start their career. Both Wiggo and Millar rode for the team in years gone by and it's good to see that they are continuing to sign British riders, as another guy from back home, Aaron Arblaster, has also signed recently. My French should be good enough to get my point across at the start of the season but, of course, I will have to get learning.

So, whilst I'm sure the boss won't let me ride in all the big races, I have been promised that I'll be on the start line in Corsica for Le Tour, which was a big selling point for me. Before then, I hope to ride in lots of races with TT's and want to stamp my mark on the Continental Tour as I feel I'm one of the best men against the clock at this level. I also want to help the GC guys as much as possible in stage races.

I can't wait to get started and look forward to seeing what calendar the boss has given me. It best be good!

Allez Cofidis!

Hi boss! It's Fabrizio here, and I just wanted to talk with you about my schedule for the first part of this year.

I don't really mind about which races I participate in, but I prefer something flat.

Thanks Boss Smile, Fabrizio

Hey boss,

After seeing our calendar for the first part of the season, I would like to confirm my calendar for the first three months. I would like to ride the Tour of Oman, Paris - Nice and Critérium International please. I have to say that none of the other races interest me and I would be pretty disappointed if I wasn't allowed to race these three.
