Hi, quick thoughts on this pro continental team I'm making, and I intend to start a story on. I tried to get most of my favourite cyclists in it...but it it too overpowered and unrealistic?
Diego Ulissi
Carlos Betancur
Adriano Malori
Moreno Moser
Michal Kwiatkowski
Francesco Chicchi
Francesco Belloti
Francesco Bongiorno
Sebastian Minard
Jean-Marc Marino
Kenny Elissonde
Maxime Bouet
Davide Cimolai
Marco Bandiera
Davide Mucelli
Alfredo Balloni
Mirko Selvaggi
Stefano Agostini
Its supposed to be an italian pro continental team, not world tour.
Thanks |

Well, I don't know the stats of course, since I don't know the DB, but to me, yes, it is overpowered.
With Betancur, Ulissi, Moser & Kwiatkowski, the Ardennes Team is way too strong for a PCT team to me.
I'd at least remove 1 of them.
Malori & Chicchi are normally really strong as well. I'd remove 1 of them as well, but it's not really necessary
This team got a bit too many very powerful WT riders, personally.

Well, again, a screenshot of the team with stats makes it a bit easier.
As for you team, the level is good, though it's too many talents and too many nationalities for me.

Yes, but still, it's hard to estimate the team then, I don't want to look up the stats of each of them and then combine them, that's pretty hard.
But for me, it's way too many talent for sure, wouldn't be fun for me, replace some of them for some helpers without too much talent.
A combination of Colombia/Italy/Germany/Spain/France isn't realistic for me either.

And if I remove the Germans and put helpers as you say. How about with four nationalities?
I have to remove some talent? |

Well, if you like it, no, but wouldn't like it myself.
Team would be overpowered in a few years and no team in the world has only big talents...

~20 riders:
2 leaders AVG74-76: Can be practically everything
3 free roles/support: 2 for 1 leader, 1 for another
4 free roles: 2 for each leader
8 domestiques aged 24+: obvious
3 young talents -23: 1 or 2 big talents at most
Something like that might give an idea

That's brilliant, thanks a lot...do you know what ratings (roughly) the free roles should have? One of my problems is they always end up too good...

Free roles should be from 70-73 AVG. Domestiques 60-70

AVG 71-74 I'd say(depending on leader strength ofc )
Basically guys that could have some small wins, but nothing big.
1 or 2 free role or free role/support guys can be good talents as well...
But also, all this depends whether you want a small or big PCT team ofc
You should compare what you want with the real PCT teams ofc.
Their squads are realistic ofc, since they exist. Though that doesn't mean that ab Europcar-like strong team is recommended, nor Novo Nordisk like...
Edit: Selwink Zabel'd me.
Also, for domestiques in PCT, 60AVG is too weak, they'd be useless, I would say 64/65-70 AVG...

Hmm, actually, I'd say a bit less 70-71AVG and more 66-69 AVGs.
And a bit less nationalities, involving Balkan isn't really necassary to me, at least not if you want to make a good example

Agree completely, but what does zabel'd mean?
If you want to see how good people are think to yourself, no one in your team should be able to win a grand tour, generally you won't be going for gc, it'll be KOM and breakaways. Same with classics riders, you won't be favourite but you may pull of an upset. |

Well, without Balkan you can't make a proper team, because you would suddenly get 5 cobblers. About the first part, you are right though.

How can too many nationalities be a problem, in real life teams aren't all from one area, sure there is a predominant country but there are lots of random people from countries you wouldn't expect (Brazil, Argentina, China, Japan) |

Create custom teams is the best part of the game
I always stop at half of first year of career because I want to start a new one |
