I have brought RCS all the way from the bottom to WCT level and starting to compete and win the odd stage race. However I am losing out a little on the climbs still more often than not. I did nearly win a weak Giro last year but again lost ther jersey on the final climb stage by 4 seconds!(Gutted)
My 2 main GC contenders i have are Talansky and Quintana. Talansky is 77 Mo and Quintana 81. I have always used the protecting my riders method with the main rider on dot effort with a burst attack towards the top of the hill. However i am finding when my main rivals (Henao, Uran and Froome) go early i struggle to go with them and if i do counter with them i drop off towards the top but if i back off then i never catch them up.
I have even tried resting the 2 GC riders and giving them a warm up race before the GT (Romandie-Giro Dauphine-Tour)
Any ideas to help the with the final push to win a GT?
I don't know what difficulty you play at but it should be easy to win with Quintana if he has some reasonable TT stats.
Assuming that you know how to play this game the only chance of winning against stronger opponents is with better fitness. And since the last patch, you can fine tune the fitness by adjusting the bars.
OK, this will not be so easy then. How much time does he lose against Froome in a 30km TT? 5 minutes?
I guess your best chances to win is by exploiting the game AI. Like attacking on the final hill or in a downhill section to the finish line, and so on.
Also never simulate stages as it might break the freshness AI.
I have done it pipped Nibali with Quintana by 25 seconds. Broke him in the second to last mnountain stage and gained 3 minutes which i then survived with during the time trial. Now to try and do the tour double!
