General information
Database: PCM Daily DB - custom
Difficulty: Hard
Evoulution of Attributes: 0.3
Team: OFM - Quinta da Lixa
Hello everyone. It's not my first time here, but i never had really that much time and effort to make it far, so it's like i'm new to this. But i'll try to do my best and i hope you guys enjoy it.
Why OFM - Quinta da Lixa? It's a portuguese team, one of the best, and since i'm portuguese i just thought 'why not?'. The team is pretty small with only 12 riders. But it will be interesting to see what this team is capable of.
And before i forget, i'm not that good at english, so i'm sorry if i write some stuff bad and with errors. |

OFM - Quinta da Lixa: Squad Presentation and Objectives
This is OFM squad. With only 12 riders, four spanis and eight portuguese we have three leaders: Gustavo Veloso, Alejandro Marque and Samuel Caldeira. The spanish are stage races riders with average skills on mountain and time trial. And Caldeira is our best (and only) sprinter.
Then we have Mário Costa, a time trial specialist, Delio Fernandez, a fighter with good descend skills, João Cabreira and Hélder Oliveira, two portuguese climbers that will help our leaders and finishing with Eduard Prates, which is not a type of rider that could win something.
The last four are U23. So they will try to develop and learn with the boys. And with this i'll show you our objectives.

Volta ao Algarve Stage 1 (2.1)
February 13th, 2013
We started our season with Volta ao Algarve, fairly known as a great race for some of the best riders to get in shape. And as we can see, we have a lot of famous riders like Froome, D. Moreno, Richie Porte and Kreuziger. But this isn't even the full startlist (only 15 teams).
Our strategie was simple: don't let Gustavo César Veloso and Alejandro Marque loose time and try to get the best result. We don't even sent anyone to breakaways in this first stage.
And the mainly important moment of the race was the sprint mountain won by Wesley Kreder.
Basically, the time gap was early controlled by the peloton and we got to the end of the stage, with it being disputed in a mass sprint finish, with three riders disputing the stage win: Arnaud Demare, Allan Davis and Francisco Lasca. The french sprinter was the strongest and claimed a stage win.
1 Arnaud Demare FDJ.fr 4h56'32" (1) | 2 Allan Davis Orica - GreenEdge +0" (2) | 3 Francisco Lasca Caja Rural - Seguros RGA +0" (3) | 4 Michel Kreder Garmin - Sharp +0" (4) | 5 Giacomo Nizzolo Radioshack - Leopard +0" (5) | 13 Gustavo César Veloso OFM - Quinta da Lixa +0" (13) |
Volta ao Algarve Stage 2 (2.1)
February 14th, 2013
This stage was a mist of flat and small hills with two mountain sprints in the first half of the race. We had in mind to send someone early in order to win those mountain sprints and wear the green (polka-dot) jersey, KOM leader.
Delio Fernández was that rider and he won both mountain sprints, always with a clear advantage to the second of the three breakaway riders. Due to this, he is wearing the KOM leader jersey in the 3rd stage.
The stage, like it was expected ended with a mass sprint finish but lots of riders had troubles with those small hills in the end of the race and lost some time.
But the important was that the stage win smiled to a italian rider: Giacomo Nizzolo. He easily beat his competition, showing he was a in a good way. Second and third place arrived Simone Ponzi and Arnaud Demare, the winner of stage one.
1 Giacomo Nizzolo RadioSchack - Leopard 4h45'53" (1) | 2 Simone Ponzi Astana Pro Team +0" (2) | 3 Arnaud Demare FDJ.fr +0" (3) | 4 Luke Rowe Sky Procycling +0" (4) | 5 Allan Davis Orica - GreenEdge +0" (5) | 8 Gustavo César Veloso OFM - Quinta da Lixa +0" (8) |

Good start. I like the screenshot with blur. One thing: please don't use yellow to mark your riders. It's almost unreadable.
