Hi
In my Sky team i have:
Cavendish - very unhappy - Abs Ld
Hagen - very unhappy - Prot rider
Nibali - normal - Abs Ldr
Froome - Normal - Abs Ldr
and Mollema - Happy - Abs Ldr
the rest of drivers are over the moon. And my quastion is: how can i improve their morale? I know that i have too many Absolut leaders in team, but Cavendish will probably leave Sky at the end of season and i cant keep him, but the main question is how to improve moral? Any ideas?

Hello
Winning races can raise morale.
Also recovery camps might help but I never used them so I cannot guarantee.
In the beginning of the season, you can send your riders to pre-season camps and make them train in lower levels to make them happy (because the think they are well-prepared if the can ride a the desired pace).
Edited based on feedback below.

What Lachi said. A few days of recovery will help. Recon-camps also improves morale. |

I cannot remember if PCM 2012 still has these e-mails where you can respond to good results. But if there are, select the correct answer to make them happy (I cannot remember the wording but it was about the team).

Lachi there are no emails or press conferences but if I may add, try not to race any of them together. Even if one is horrendously out of form and the race doesn't suit they will want leadership and go in a stop if they don't get it.
Generally if you if you plan on 3d racing you can set your helper on sprinter I think and he won't care as he has a high role.
I think this may cause problems when simming.
Also I think racing their favourite races, see rider data, improves morale, but some of them are silly, I had a sprinter who wanted to do l-b-l every year!
I may be wrong but overworking them with long training regimes and fatigue and tonnes of race days may also decrease happiness so keep the fresh or send them to a recovery camp a la Lachi.
Hope I helped. |

Thanks, I fixed it.
I was only thinking about improving the morale but you are right about the roles. Never select a wrong role for your leaders. Cav is happy to be a sprinter but Nibali, Froome and Mollema want to be captain, no matter what.
It only affects the simulated stages though. (I can remember asking Cyanide to fix the role selection before 3D races and the guy was like, why it does not do anything anyway. :roll

I occasionally get the message about riders being unhappy about their roles after I've simulated a whole day, but I've never actually seen it have an impact on morale.. it doesn't appear to be implemented (on pcm2012).
If you do use two or more leaders at a time and simulate the stage you can avoid the negative feedback if you put them on 'free element' |

Hmm, i use recovery camp, and impact on thair moral isnt good. Yes, camps can help little, but i think the main problem is in to many Leaders in team.
Cavendish will leave, but in next season Mollema, Froome i Nibali (Hagen too) will be leaders.
TDF - i always play TDM with Nibali/Froome and Mollema (2 leaders in one race) becouse i want to have big halp in hill and mount stages.
Vuelta and Giro - Same story, Nibali + Mollema or Henao.
Ok i will try your advices with camps ty |

Like I said, having many leaders in the same race isn't a problem if you don't simulate. |

The best solution would be to edit it using Lachi's Editor, but it would take away the challenge in managing a Pro Team.

Noo,
That makes them really angry, and gives you the infamous message of rider is unhappy you changed his status from free element to free element
I find putting people on free element except punchers of course is bad, it gets me in lots of trouble.
I know it doesn't matter much but it's worth avoiding anyway.
