Sky Procycling Team Presentation:
Hello my name is Sir Dave Brailsford many of you dont know who i am so I'm going to introduce myself i was born 29th February 1964 in Derbyshire and have grown to be general Manager of Sky Pro Cycling and British Cycling
I was brought up in Deiniolen near Wales then competed in France for four Years as a professional Cyclist but it didn't work out so i returned to England at 23 to study for a degree in Sports science at Chester College.
I was first employed by British Cycling as an Advisor but then came a program director for British Track Cycling i led Track cycling to a lot of Success in 2004, 2008 and 2012
in 2010 i also Became general Manager of british based Cycling team, Team Sky. In 2010 Team sky didn't have the best of years with coming out of the top 10 in the grand tours. 2011 wasnt much better with coming out the top 10 again with The Giro D'iTalia and The Tour de France but in the Vuelta a Espana the got a great 2nd with Christopher Froome and another podium with Bradley Wiggins coming 3rd this was a sign of things to come.
in 2012 i drove the team to more success with coming 7th and 9th in the Giro D'italia which followed a great 1st and 2nd in the Tour de France with Bradley Wiggins becoming the first British rider to win the the greatest cycling event which further got Bradley united by the queen in the vuelta Chris Froome came 4th but was running out of steam but well done froome.
Team Presentation:
Absolute Leaders:
Christopher Froome
Christopher Froome is one of our great hopes for the Grand tours and will feature in the Tour de France and Probably in the Vuelta a Espana we know there has been many speculation about doping within the team but we can reassure you that we are not doping and are a drug free team and we wont let our fans down which in Great Britain the fan-base is ever growing
Richie Porte
Richie Porte is going to be in the Giro and the Tour has a main Team To the leaders and maybe next year will get his own time to shine but in some of the other UCI world tour events will get the leaders roll ready for next year so he can grow as a rider.
Rigoberto Uran
Rigoberto Uran will be the leader for the Giro D'italia and we are hopeful that he can beat Italian great Vincenzo Nibali and will help Chris Froome in the Vuelta i know what you think i will be to tired but we are giving him plenty of rest.

Pre Season:
Morning!
A new year a new start all of the riders are away at Kuala Lumpur at a Pre Season training camp were all of the riders are having fun and we have let them go around the towns and visit some of the great sites. The riders are progressing really well especially Matthew Hayman And Christopher Sutton who have The Aussie championships in a few days all of the boys for the
Tour Down Under are raring to go but Colombian rider Sergio Henao has came out of the training camp because of illness but will be in a second training camp on the begining of February with Chris Froome , Richie Porte and many riders who will be in the Vuelta.
Bradley Wiggins came to see me about his position in the team and said he would be happy to be a team mate for anyone in the squad but as long as he would be in the Tour de France. I agreed to his Policy and told him that he would be in the Tour and The Vuelta as a team a team mate to Chris Froome so he could return the favor.
Also while we were at Kuala Lumpur i also told Gabriel Rasch, Danny Pate and Christian Knees would not have their contract renewed at the end of the
season but Rigoberto Uran, Ben Swift, Dario Cataldo, Bernhard Eisel and Ian Stannard have all got new contracts for next season with them all runing out at the end of the season.
This is all for now and i will see you all in Australia for the Australia championships and then the Tour Down Under.
Goodbye. |

Player Review:
Edvald Boasson Hagen
Hello and welcome!
on the player review blogs i will talk about one rider at a time and will tell you about the history and talk about there strengths and what i want them to achieve in the next few years. So lets get to it
Edvald Boasson Hagen is one of Sky's Best riders and one of the best sprinters in the world and has adapted to it. Edvald was born in Norway, and his first cycling Team was Team Maxbo Bianchi from 20006-2007 and Hagen had a great start by wining u19 Norway championships twice in 2004 and 2005 and the Norway Time trial championships in 2005, Edvald won the national time trial championships in 2007 and won 19 stages with 3 overall GC winnings.
Then in 2008-2009 he joined his first Professional cycling team High road
and had even more success with his first appearance in a grand tour with winning a stage in the giro
Then in 2010 he joined new team Sky and it all went up from there with 3 appearances in the tour de france and came 6 twice in the points classification and 5th last year with winning the Norway National Championships.
In the coming Season i hope that Edvald can win 10 stages with one GC Victory. In the next 3 Years i want Edvald to win 25 stages and 4 GC victory.
I Know these objectives are a bit steep but they can be done.

Australian Championships 13/01:
Race Report:
The first professional cycling event of the year started in Buninyong, Australia and it was a wonderful day. It all started with a nine man breakaway of many good sprinters like Heinrich Haussler, Steele Von Hoff and Sky's very own Chistopher Sutton. The breakaway earned a great 6 minutes with 90 Kilometers but they were bringing them in ever quickly. At 50k it had gone down to 4.30 minuets then an attack in the breakaway it is Sky rider Chris Sutton, no one had the legs to join him and managed to get a minute from the breakaway but he couldn't stay out there for long when it was 30k he managed to drop down to the peloton with them a minute behind the break. Richie and Hayman were doing fine in the peloton but Porte had only 5 fitness so he wasn't aiming for the win he just wanted to stretch his legs the final climb up the hill so an attack from Simon Gerrans where a few followed like Simon Clarke, Michael Rogers , Cadel Evans and Richie Porte no one managed to get up to speed with him but Simon Clarke came the closest with coming over a minute behind but there was a great effort from Richie by coming 4th in front of Cadel Evans in a two man group Matthew Hayman also attacked right at the top of the hill and also got a little break going Matthew Lloyd joining just in front of the peloton which was topped by Matthew Goss, Despite all of Chris Sutton efforts i had to bring him out of the race due to tiredness.
Results:
1. Simon Gerrans (Orica GreenEDGE)
2. Simon Clarke (Orica GreenEDGE) + 1:23
3. Michael Rogers (Team Saxo-Tinkoff) + 1:23
4. Richie Porte (Sky Procycling) +2:08
5. Cadel Evans (BMC Racing Team) +2:08
6. Matthew Lloyd (Lampre Merida) +3:53
7. Matthew Hayman (Sky Procycling) +3:53
8. Matthew Goss (Orica GreenEDGE) +6:00
9: David Tanner (Belkin pro cycling) +6:00
10. Mark Renshaw (Belkin pro cycling) +6:00
Christopher Sutton (Sky Procycling) Withdrawn
[b]Race Review:
A good start for the year with a 4th place for an unfit Richie Porte i will Take that. If he was fully fit he would have been able to catch up to Simon Gerrans and go passed him. Matthew Hayman was a real surprise 7th i always new i would attack at the top of the hill but never knew he could last to the end well done Matthew, Sutton wasn't the biggest upset in the world he just isn't the worlds best and had no expectations for today he was just in their incase the breakaway lasted.
I know there is no in game pictures but i started the stage yesterday and didn't know how to save screenshots but i know now so they will be in the rest of the time. |

Heavily text based this one; perhaps break it up a little and do screenshots of the race and limit the reporting. Up to you pal, your story just some may find it very block heavy and intense reading so much.
Best of luck with your first story.

Adam - Hope you didn't take that as a criticism pal, more just a bit of advice. Obviously you have an idea of how you want to structure it regards your monthly rider review and everything so it seems you have a good foundation. Pictures always help as it allows people to enjoy aspects of your game too. Look to do screenshots of Breakaways, attacks, sprint finishes. They are the usual 3 that are done. I will follow this one and see how you get on. Once again best of luck.
