I seem to be in a what might be a difficult situation right now. Apparently the mini calendar on the main game screen (bottom-right) shows a maximum of 3 races on a single day. Same goes for the schedule screen as well. This mislead me and I missed the fact that I was going to be racing 4 different races on the very same day. This might be causing some issues because I don't have enough available riders and since the races are on the same day the game is on, no option to cancel them.
Here is the situation:
I was racing in 2 stage races and on the schedule it was showing that I will have a one-day race on March, 22nd. This was going to be OK because I still had 8 available riders. So I proceeded to March, 22nd and all of a sudden when I click next the Criterium International came up that apparently also starts on March, 22nd. You can select a minimum of 6 riders and if I select 6, then I will have only 2 left. So I don't think I will be able to race the one day race.
I think that if you don't select enough number of riders the game is not proceeding when you click next, so I am not sure how I can rectify this. Any idea?
It would be OK if I didn't race the Crit International, but now I don't know how. If I knew this I could DNF some of my riders from the 2 ongoing stage races, but it is also not possible anymore. Any suggestions?

I will say, this is a new one. But Im pretty sure it has happened before to someone.
So let me ask this, do you have a database editor? If so, Im pretty sure you can alter you race calendar and fix the issue.
If not, this might work...but might not.
Start the races you want to be in. You have only 2 riders for the crit and need 6.
Play day 1 of the race on 3D mode. When you leave the line, reduce 4 riders effort to 0. And fast forward the race. At the end, the 4 you reduced the effort to 0 with will withdrawl. I have done that, but not with a race the same day, but 1 day later. If you then check your "team", you should have 6 riders. I am unsure if this will work, but seeing you had 4 drop out of a race. You should have 6 riders for the crit. The race you made the 4 drop out of, will be left with only 4 riders. So winning more than a stage prob wont happen. But if it works, you can race the crit. If not, I have no idea what you can do. I would guess it might let you sim past the race...but never tried it.
The game AI never accounts for travel. Thats why I am suggesting to try having 4 drop out. Make sure its your worst riders.
But really, I think the best idea is to get an editor (if you dont have one) and then alter the 22nd, make the crit start on say the 23rd.
The DB editor Im almost 100% sure will work. The other, no idea. Or try to just sim past the crit...it may work.
As far as I know, you can start a race with only 2 riders if you don't have more. so there should not be a problem at all. If you don't want to risk it, make a backup of your save before you try it.
The first suggestion of Matrix does not work because a rider cannot race two races on the same day. It would work with the weeklysave but that in this case you have to play some stages one more time.
I suggest to use an editor and unsubscribe your team from one race.
Open your save in an editor, then open the table DYN_team_race.
There search the 4th race and your team and change the status.

It will, just raced a single stage race with 1 rider. Dont expect great results with only 1-2 riders.
Well, then again...if you get in a break and its flat and you have a sprinter...you never know.
Ok, guys I have solved this using the editor and this was how:
In the DYN_team_race table, I have updated the status of the Crit International to Rejected and also removed the pre-selected riders in the next column.
Then I went on to the game and the Crit International was not appearing in my schedule anymore. But when I clicked next, it is still appearing the first race to take part in.
When I went back to the editor and this time explored the DYN_team table. Apparently in there the Crit International was selected as the current race. I did update it and make it 0.
