Hi,
I moved from PCM10 to PCM13 and I'm starting August on my first season.
So far I've been doing fairly well, still struggling with a few aspects, but nothing too serious.
One thing still bugs me... I seem to have a hard time keeping my riders together. When I'm going up a mountain, even in very small groups, something always happens. My most usual setup is to have the captain protected by second best and have other riders in the group is possible. Sometime an opponent attacks and I send one of the spares to relay at the front to bring him back. Most of the times, either that guys goes away from the group or there is a cut in the group and my captain will fall back, still having very good energy levels. So, what is the best way to make sure your captain follows the relay guy?
Thanks |

Riding on dot(the circle button - a.k.a free effort) seems the best option.
Ride on dot with both your leader and possibly also the one doing the relay. It saves energy I think, at least for your leader.

But the second in command could (and should) benefit from some shielding from the other guy up front.
I wish we could just form trains wherever. |

Yes, but I think that could still happen then. Not sure.

As soon as you send your spare rider to relay, set your captain to 70% and single effort (the dot). Now adjust the % so that he maintains his position or goes forward.
If the protecting rider is falling back, lower the % of your captain.

I'm really still struggling with this.
Getting the together when I'm there is one thing, but why don't they keep in the group when I'm tending to other riders?
I remember in older versions if I set a rider to "stay" he would not leave the group unless he was out of juice. Now, if there is a small cut in the peloton, my guys never look at the front of the group. Since I have a poor team and do a lot of breakaways, I get that a lot. Big issue. |

Did you try to raise the %. The game works differently regarding the %. Did you read the manual? (or where ever that was explained). |
